Fly to Denver. get a rental car and drive to Laramie. Beautiful scenery and a nice place to be. I lived in Wyoming for 7 years and always enjoyed my trips to Laramie to see the cowboys (and Aztecs) play. Just know it is rural/frontier. Decent restaraunts and good people.

I did it in 1997 just because it was so unique. How many people can say they did a roadie to Laramie. We flew to Denver and spent the night on the north side of town. Saturday morning we drove to Laramie. Saw the capitol building. It was November and weather was in the 30s. During the game a light snow started falling but not enough to cause a problem driving back to Denver. Saturday night saw a Colorado Avalanche hockey game and flew home Sunday.

I just checked a map and, fortunately, I can't get there from here.

I went to a game at Laramie about 40 years ago. I must say the fans were very welcoming. But it wasn't a place that I had any desire to revisit. I went to a game there in 1978, our first year in the WAC. I was traveling to all the away games with the team back then. I don't know if it was altitude sickness or not, but I came back feeling really bad and depressed. I didn't make a road trip the rest of that year. I even missed a game at Miami in the Orange bowl that I was looking forward to. I've bad mouthed Wyoming in general and Laramie in particular ever since then. Probably not fair. I do like the Wyoming people and feel comfortable in that culture.
Well, AzTex, quite the coincidence. We were in that stadium together! That was the year that I went.
