Wild up and down day for Zander; his putter and short game saved his round. I’m sure he’s on the range getting his tee shots in order. Good news is he, Rory and Scottie will be off early, so better conditions.

Big day for X tomorrow. Needs to ideally play himself into the top 8/10 going into the weekend.
Both he and Scottie were all over the place today while Rory played his tail off. Loooooong way to go.

He's 3 under today with 5 holes left. He started out +2 after his first two holes but he's had 5 birdies since then. He's tied for 4th, two shots behind his friend Cantlay. And one behind Rory and Aberg.

Winning score will probably be around -2 or -3.
Xander did what he had to do today... and outplayed Rory and Scottie in the process. Scottie will probably miss the cut.
The weekend is gonna be brutal.
EDIT: Xander played the 2 par-5s in +3 today... OUCH!

Xander is T9 at -1, 4 strokes behind the sole leader Ludvig Aberg (-5).
He is in good position for a weekend run!

On that track, really any open track, mistake avoidance is the key. Xander hasn't been very accurate thus far. Hopefully he turns it around the next two rounds and takes this thing.

In the first 2 rounds he's probably made more birdies than most, but they get offset by his brain farts (boggies). So the possibility of having a good round is definitely there, provided he minimizes the boggies. |

Disappointing 3rd round today... out of title contention... but still T12 at +1.
I'm guessing a 68 tomorrow from Xander to finish anywhere from 6-10th.
Strangely, I'm rooting for Rory to win at this point!
