He would be a Huge get, been a thorn in our side for two seasons now. Do we have a chance?

Be a good get, solid player. Not an outside(3 pt) shooter. Good size n body, would be 4th team with 1 year left, guess that's the norm now?

Everyone play it cool; but looks like Boyd, Mckinney, and Byrd follow him on IG and we allegedly hosted a recruit last weekend. Could be coincidence, could be we had him on campus already. I think he would be as near perfect a get as possible with the current situation.

and it looks like both have already played 5 seasons (using covid year) and NCAA basketball does not have Red-Shirt provision for playing "X" amount of games to retain Red-Shirting.

It's Keylan, and NCAA is allowing players that were ruled ineligible to compete any portion of a season since the 2019-2020 season due to the "Transfer Eligibility Rule" with an extra year of eligibility. Only heard of a couple players taking advantage but there may be a few more.

He should be our absolute #1 target. He’d be a perfect fit for this team.

His last two years he shot a total of 301 3-point shots and hit 38% of them. That's almost six 3's he shot a game. And he has a career average of over 75% FT% too. Sign him up!!!!

Maybe I looked up his brother? I looked up Kalib, ESPN stats on 3's. Forgot he had a twin, and they list then in alphabetical order. Kellan a better get, yes a 3 pt shooter and great fit.

Are you sure that he is willing to take the NIL paycut? He has incredible stats. 18.5 PER, 1 block per game, 12.5 pts per game, 35% from 3, 74% from the line, all great numbers for a forward. I would think that he will get 200-500k in NIL somewhere else.
But maybe he's willing to take the paycut to learn and grow under Dutcher and try to get drafted.

I'm watching some of UNLV and Keylan's highlights. That UNLV team was as talented as any I've ever seen in recent memory. Dedan Thomas is an incredible PG, Rob Whaley has insane athleticism (legit highlight reel dunks), Keylan has some incredible highlights (blocked shots and making a step back 3 from the NIT logo in the tournament), and Kalib is very athletic. That UNLV team might have been one of the best teams to not make the NCAA tournament last year. They crushed New Mexico at New Mexico as well.
Depending on who they bring in to surround Dedan with, they could be good next year - Dedan was incredible last year, for a freshman who re-classified to join UNLV a year early no less.

That's the tough part at this point, what I've read is WVU, Texas, Memphis, and a few other well-off schools are still looking for pieces. Not sure if any can offer the opportunity to start and play significant mins though.

Source on twitter is saying he’s visiting our campus this weekend. We have the funds now to give him $400k easily.

It was sort of feeling like any player we got at this point would be more of a consolation prize, probably a good fit and good SDSU-type player but really a consolation prize based on people we missed on or couldn't get to talk to us in the first place. Boone however, like others have said, seems like an SDSU player AND someone who could be a major contributor at the high major level (and probably command NIL dollars to boot). What a win it would be if they got a commitment from him this late in the process.

Well maybe another false start, ha. They could still be wrong, but the few places I saw it on twitter said this weekend, so technically he wouldn't be on campus YET. I guess we will see how it plays out.

Zeigler just posted another tweet saying Boone won't be visiting any schools likely in the next couple of weeks. A Memphis beat writer mentioned it may be an uphill battle to get his waiver approved by NCAA.
