The course must be playing easy today as two guys out early are already -5 for the round, one after 7 holes and one after only 4! Gotta make a lot of birdies to keep up today.

Since play was suspended when Xander was on the 9th hole, it looks like he'll play a full 27 holes tomorrow. And in hot weather with high humidity. It might even rain tomorrow, too. If it doesn't then they should get to play clean and place.

They resumed play and Xander is through 13 holes @ -15, one shot behind T Kim.

At this point, even though Scheffler is 2 shots behind, he's the betting favorite to win @ +300. Xander is next @ +333 and then Kim, who's leading @ +400.

Xander just went to -16 after 14 holes and tied Kim. Xander's -6 today with 4 holes left in the 3rd round.
And with just that extra birdie the betting line moved to:
+260 Xander
+275 Kim
+450 Scheffler

I thought one of the announcers said earlier that they can play until 8:30PM. Damn, he shot a bogie on the 18th. Missed a 4 footer. Not a good way to end the round. Hope it doesn't fester him tomorrow. |

Well, Xander is toast. When he screws up it festers in his head. He's done for the day. Probably end up in the Top 10 anyway. So now on to the Open, then the Olympics.

Yeah - not a good day today for Xander, at even par thru 16. Not a great day at all. Of the top 28 placed players, he was the only one not to shoot under par for the day. He ends up tied for 13th.
