So much hate on this board. The kid was injured for 3/4 of the season which affected his game. The move to Ohio state was a business move. He gets more cash from NLI and the offense is more suited for his game. Until Dutcher can get a modern offense we will continue to lose kids. And trash fans on the way out.

Maybe NIL payouts ought to correlate with players' performance or their ability to reach a wide audience. Issuing hefty six and seven-figure paychecks to football and basketball players could potentially undermine college sports, particularly Olympic sports.
In the age of social media, I see the merit in NIL, but simply awarding the highest bidder without upholding any standards undermines the essence of competition.
But then again, who cares?

Most pro sports have salary caps or salary threshold that kicks in a luxury tax. This is for the benefit of the sport and attempts to provide some parity.
College sports has no such caps and the disparity will grow to the detriment of collegiate sports.
I am disappointed. I am more disappointed with the rules and the courts than I am with the players.
I am shocked that - borderline starters like Saunders and parish can get such large offers - that a offensively challenged guard that has the shot propping up his local value can get more elsewhere.
I do not understand why these other schools have such high NIL to distribute. SDSU has good educational programs. It is not a small school. San Diego has housing values that have increased near top of nation. San Diego badtball has been a very good program for ~15 years and arguably one of the best programs over the last couple of years. How does a school like Arkansas have so much more NIL money.
This NIL and the disparity it brings is going to kill collegiate sports. No one wants heavy player turn over. No one wants to see players developed transfer not for better development opportunity but for better money.
These players are now pro players but with less restrictions on changing teams than the pros have. It is a worse case scenario that is quickly killing the joy of being an Aztec basketball fan.as for those stating open your wallets, I am more likely to close mine than open it. I will not be surprised if in a short couple seasons I give up my season tix. If I need a program to know the players, that is not good. If we are in effect a minor league/development program for other schools that is not good.

He literally wants us to subsidize his hip-hop basketball lifestyle. Feck him. Until SDSU gets a decent NIL package and there are some Industry limits coupled with Portal restrictions kids will move on for perceived greener pastures. Half these kids in the Portal will never see another Scholarship offer. They are screwing themselves believing they are better than where they are at.

Remind me when Parish was hurt and how it affected him 3/4 of the season. He averaged almost 28 minutes a game so when was he "injured"? No one that plays D1 FB or BB ever feels 100% for the entire season but "injured" is a different story. Did he reference that is his now deleted post?

More like tired because his minutes increased over last season. He's proven to me what he is. Sayonara. Butler has class. It's been revealed he stayed an extra year because of the support from the community. Personal and financial. He gave the program four years. In my mind he is the equivelant of a grad transfer. At best he will play in Europe. This will be his payday. Best of luck young man. The bench guys who transferred are looking for PT. They didn't feel the need to torch the fanbase. Best of luck to them. Elijiah ? TBD

Parrish on twitter said his #'s dropped from beginning of season due to injury.

Parrish on twitter said his #'s dropped from beginning of season due to injury. Dutcher also mentioned Parrish needs to shoot the open shots. He said a lot of interviews Parrish is snuggling but they believe he will get out of it. You can also add Dave V saying the same exact thing. So the injury excuse, I don’t but it at all.

Worst body language on the team, I was actually happy to see him go. Maybe he's just emotional and immature but I think his scholarship is better used on someone else.
