For it’s really not about staying their whole career but that they finish their careers at SDSU. LeDee is a great example. I consider him an Aztec for Life. Thames and Flynn too. Damn, if Cade Alger had only known..... Cade left for playing time not for cash. Kevin Sabo Aztec for life. |

Former Kentucky Players in the NBA = 28, Former San Diego State players in the NBA = 3 SDSU has had at least 5 NBA players that I know of. It doesn’t matter where you go to school anyway. If you are good enough to play in the NBA they will find you if you are at Kentucky or SDSU. Lamont isn’t an NBA player anyway. He’s a Euro player for sure. This is currently playing, and not counting the G league. |

First thing we can do is stop calling players that leave for money Aztecs for life. And don’t give me the “Better shot at the NBA” garbage either. SDSU gets plenty of players drafted and playing in the NBA. That excuse is just a cover for leaving for cash. I agree. What’s the big deal about having a special designation for players who spend their entire career here. It’s pretty common in every other sport to have a special term to highlight a player who was with a team their whole career. People get so butthurt about everything this days. Kinda like the adults who get butthurt over a player making a life decision on what he feels is best for himself and his family? Asking for a friend.  |

SDSU has had at least 5 NBA players that I know of. It doesn’t matter where you go to school anyway. If you are good enough to play in the NBA they will find you if you are at Kentucky or SDSU. Lamont isn’t an NBA player anyway. He’s a Euro player for sure. This is currently playing, and not counting the G league. However you slice it you can get to the NBA from SDSU. That excuse doesn’t work in 2024 |

I guess being in the national title game and the final 4 plus being on CBS during the regular season isn’t a big enough stage. Stop lying and just say it’s for the cash. Just tell it like it is. SDSU couldn’t match the money Lamont and his dad wanted and Kentucky could.

I just don't take it personally when a kid makes a decision about his own life. (unless perhaps if it's my own kid). Would I rather Butler stayed? Of course, but it's not like he was one-and-done. I'll always appreciate his contributions to the program. Time for next man up. |

Good for Butler. I expect his shooting percentages to be better next year and I don’t think that has anything to do with our staff or offense. Just something I’ve heard.
