This is gonna be the most mysterious team to gauge in a while...a lot of folks have to step/grow up fast...wonder who the team captain will be. I can't speak for the new guys cause I haven't seen them in person, but as far as returners who are going to grow up and be "the man," my money's on the Byrd Man, can't wait to see him soar next season! Byrd is very good at lofting passes for the ally oops. You watch, he and JC-J will pull it off a few times in games.

He can make spectacular plays but sometimes he just needs to make plays and not try to make them all spectacular. How many times did he blow fast break lay-ups vs the number of successful dunks he got? How many times did he throw the ball away trying to hit a teammate? He would have to significantly reign in his typical passing and work on his handles a lot to be a good PG. A SG, yes, he could do that and probably shine.

I see Byrd as more of a wing/ small forward possibly. That’s the spot Parish filled, I’d rather have Byrd on the floor than Parish. I’m hoping Boyd can fill the PG floor leader role, neither Trammel or Butler were true PGs, it’s an area we’ve lacked for a while, someone who can breakdown defenses and hit the open player, who makes others better.

C'mon man, consider he's only had one year on the court.

Yes, he wasn't a full-time contributor but he's played on the court and practice for two years for one of the probably two best high-majors in college basketball. And while that's not the same as playing time, he should be better at taking so many difficult passing chances.

Made some great blocks. His offense will improve though I'm not sure of his shooting style from outside.

Hope he learns to just play more under control and he can be a huge asset.
