We'll need to have this type of performance, and also have a good game from Waters. It would really help if UConn happened to be cold that day. Or had Clingan and maybe one other key starter in early foul trouble. We're going to need that same outside shooting we had last night. Clingan had 8 blocks and will probably be stuffing LeDee a few times but LeDee is way quicker. Clingan is a load at 280lbs. If Jaedon can hit from 3 a few times and draw him out from the paint we'll have a much better chance. LeDee's 3-pt % is now an incredible 45.2%!!!! And his 2-pt FG% is 57.6%. Throw in his 74% FT shooting on the 3rd highest number of FTs in D-1 and that's some incredible across the board shooting. The Hurley's have always been cocky but this is another level. “We’re bulletproof,” UConn coach Dan Hurley said when asked about the teams’ dominant wins. “Elite offense, elite defense." Load up the big guns and let's just see. |

Watching the post game show just now and they said a lot of positive things about us. They actually gave us a legit shot to win. Also called it the biggest story of the Sweet 16. That "Lefko" guy they are trotting out this year is quite annoying. Someone needs to muzzle him. I’ve seen him a lot on tne TNT NBA Studio Tuesday night shows. I don’t mind him, he is younger and up and coming. I missed a lot of the studio talk the last 4 days - I’m usually glued to the games start to finish all 4 days unless I’m at the venue, this time I had a lot going on unfortunately so missed a lot … I think I listened to at least 3 full games on the radio/phone in my car. Curious what you didn’t like? Asking genuinely. |

I don’t mind him, he is younger and up and coming. Despite being up big. That Clingan (Klingon) dude is big and athletic. He will be Jaedons biggest challenge this year. |

Motto from 2019-2020 season was NO CEILING SIR. Also, on the other side of the Boston Regional is Illinois. Payback for the 2002 NCAA tournament loss to Illinois but first beat Uconn. I thought Illinois was over hyped most of the season but man they looked incredible. Their All American Shannon is tremendous, very impressive. What’s impressive are all the All Americans stepping up and having huge performances so far … Jaedon, Edey, Shannon, Shead, Kolek, Sears, Holmes, Love, Scheierman… and several of the honorable mention guys as well. I mean BIG TIME performances. Good point. Sears looked especially heady in that wildly chaotic game yesterday and Shannon is a scoring machine. Not a fan of Shannon's for a couple reasons but there was a play in their last game where he stole the ball and had a teammate 25 feet closer to the basket with no one else around but he took it in for a dunk instead. Selfish. GCU's Grant-Foster was pretty spectacular for a 6'7" Guard. Not sure he should be a Guard when he takes 22 shots and has 0 assists and 5 TOs. But man, he was an animal going to the rim no matter who or how many guys were on him. He doesn't miss 7 FTs and that game maybe turns out differently. Never saw an entire team play 1-on-1 before but it was fun to watch if you weren't from there. |

I think one of the reason people here don't like him is he did that initials mix-up that used to happen way more often: The group was talking about the Aztec game and he stole a glance down at his paper and started to say "South Dakota St......" before he corrected it to San Diego State. Must have had SDSU on the paper. Rookie mistake. |

Go aztecs They are the #1 team in the country and had to fly to Spokane for the first round. The committee didn’t do them any favors either. Actually, the overall number 1 seed gets to choose where they play for the first two rounds (and region) of the tournament. This has been happening since 2016 I think. UCONN chose the east region for a reason. |

Things have to go our way down low. For sure. I'm thinking to let Clingon get his points instead of hacking him, and try and control their outside shooters the best we can. Ledee can't reach in, or hack away at Clingon. Ledee is pretty smart in that regard. It will be interesting to see how it's officiated. |
