So would any of the schools who have a HC opening have enough money to compete with GCU 's money for their HC and the NIL money for their players
Also wasn't GCU under investigation for at least their on line University
GCU has a lot of money that they are more then willing to spend on basketball

GCU’s student support is a mirage. All students that live in dorms on campus are required to attend Men’s Basketball home games. The graduate programs there are part of a separate, for profit University, even though they converted portions of their undergraduate school to non-profit in order to be accepted into the NCAA for athletics. I’m sure their NIL programs are well-funded, and operate just inside the NCAA rules system. The students look like they’re having a lot of fun to me.

GCU is a sham of a university. I'm rooting for Alabama right now.

GCU is a sham of a university. I'm rooting for Alabama right now. Alabama coach Oats is the second biggest crybaby other than Musselman! I guess you thought it was fine with Bama playing MILLER who was associated with a murder last year? Alabama has such a large NIL fund it isn't funny. Screw Bama & the SEC schools. Go Lopes!

Mr. "The PAC will NOT Fold." No to truck stop BIG12. I guess you were partially correct, the P2 is still around. If/So GCU does, how does it effect any of us unless someone here wants to get their Masters after graduating from SDSU. Go Aztecs!

With all the hard work that has gone into building San Diego State's ACADEMIC standing it should piss you off that GCU is buying accolades and is getting away with being a fraud of a university. SDSU is doing it the right way, GCU is not. They're cheating. I want nothing to do with that school.

Well I agree, I didn't suggest that SDSU allow GCU in the same conference or play GCU in the future. What that school does is their own business and if it is a sham, I'm sure they are on someone's radar.

In the world of NIL everyone cheats. Now it’s legal, I asked my cousin this what’s the problem with the NIL at State? There’s plenty of good alumni, your collectives shouldn’t have a problem raising money. For my school our donations and NIL went up crazy once Slick Rick came aboard, and have not won a tournament game in 25yrs no excuses for a team that played in National Title game last year.

You seem to have a fair bit of time to be outraged at a University that has nothing to do with you or SDSU. Seriously, who cares? They seem to be enjoying the heck out of themselves, their students seem fired up, having some good clean fun supporting their school. While they invest in their BB program, it’s a fraction of what power conference teams spend, let alone the BB Blue Blood programs They are living rent free in your head! Must be crowded up there based on other posts you’ve made over the months and years here! Maybe consider Sergeant Hulka’s suggestion to “Lighten Up Francis.” Or not 🤷🏻

We should not go out of our way to play them or be associated with them in anyway.

Here is my issue with GCU. They are friggin for profit and listed on the NASDAQ. These types of institutions are all about the money and not about the student. Anyone can go and get it accepted. They accept students who can rack up 10's of thousands in debt, and the school knows they are never going to graduate. Just look at the terrible graduation rates. Also, they have a number of programs and degrees that are no longer accredited. I don't think we want anything to do with the Lopes.
When we went to Section 7's this year for basketball, a few of the players checked out the campus. They said it was nice, but it wasn't what they were expecting for the price. Nothing special about GCU other than the price.

Nothing special about GCU other than the price. To be honest, all universities are about money which is why the cost of a college education has risen faster than the rate of inflation, much faster. Plus, the top schools have endowments in the billions while encouraging students to incur tremendous debt to pay for their education.
