MWC plan to get as many seeds as possible diluted SDSU's seed. no reason for us to share the same seed as Gonzaga and St Mary's. not rooting for any of the Mountain Goat teams this year.

When the MWC goes to a 20-game schedule, we'll have fewer opportunities for quality out of conference wins. We need the conference to be respected, because the vast majority of our games will be in conference now. |

I think SDSU’s 5th place finish diluted sdsu’s seed. It is on us. I was expecting a 6 seed so #5 is showing us some love. Same seed as last year, but not playing as well late as last years’s team. Barely above 0.500% in closing games. No 3 pt shooters, pretty much a one man offense, few clutch players. My view is lucky to have a #5. Hopefully we gel and our offense starts to click. Go Aztecs. |

Boise is going crazy over there 10 seed and spot in the play in round. They think they should have been at least a 7 seed. |

I see a good/great defensive team but Late in the season not good enough to close out some close games I see a team that seems to have run out in f gas multiple times including our last game. I do not blame the referees even if a few away games seemed to have horrendous refereeing. |

The refs had absolutely NOTHING to do with ANY of our losses. Fans are fans and are always going to think the team they root for is getting screwed, all the while most fans wouldn't know their way through a rulebook. |

They should have been a 7 or 8 seed, and we should have been a 6 seed. Getting a 5 seed with our record in Q1 games is wild, and dare I say mostly due to our performance in the tournament last year. All that being said, I think the committee looked at the MW metrics, and record against P5 conferences, and said: "Okay, we will give you the 6 tournament slots that your conferences OOC record demands, but we want you to prove that you are actually better then the PAC12 and the ACC this year." Boise State vs. Colorado, Colorado State vs. Virginia in the play-in games. Time for the MW teams to show up and prove the metrics right. |

One problem is this: A week ago Dutcher said we need two guys hitting threes for us to make a run in the conference tournament and the NCAA tourney. We don’t have that. Waters is our purest shooter; hopefully he can magically turn it on in the tournament. |

Also, it actually hurts SDSU if they lose. The conference and SDSU get money if they win which is easier with higher seeds. We should all root for them to have easy opponents and win as many games as a conference, for a variety of reasons |

One problem is this: A week ago Dutcher said we need two guys hitting threes for us to make a run in the conference tournament and the NCAA tourney. We don’t have that. Waters is our purest shooter; hopefully he can magically turn it on in the tournament. It was painful to watch SDSU miss four straight wiiiiide-open treys against UNM in the second half. Make one or two of those, and SDSU probably wins going away. As for Waters, I have no idea what's going on with that dude. Made some nice shots from about the 10 min mark in the first half to about the 10 min. mark in the second half against UNM. For the other 20 min, he was a ghost. IMO, he takes way too many difficult shots -- fadeaways, right-to-left 12-foot floaters, jumpers with a hand in his face, etc. Right now, he should be concentrating on catching the ball in rhythm and squaring up to the basket. He's got a great stroke, but seems completely lost. And don't tell me that his shooting woes start with his sprained ankle in December. That's nonsense at this point. Oh, and Waters is 1-14 from behind the arc over the last five games. For those keeping score at home, that's 7%. Painful. |

I think other teams are justified in their complaints. We finished in 5th place yet have by far the best seeding? I guess they really do value the OOC schedule difficulty but think that's a bit much.
