So, in other words, you don't have the slightest idea. It doesn't matter? What..? When you have a coordinated media effort from every angle to influence the minds and opinions of voters, it absolutely does matter. To say to the contrary is quite insane, to be honest. If you see the same thing in print continuously, from the same sources of consumption, you're going to be indoctrinated to some degree. It's MAGA, just a different cult and difffent line of persuasion. I'm stunned you would take that path. I'm not exclaiming anything. It gets tiresome having to repeat the same question again and again because you've evasively maneuvered around it. Now I know why. And you should Google it, because you'd likely feel silly after you did. First, her medical records (fake) were posted to social media and conservative websites, complete with fake scans and medical histories. Secondly, in real life, she was a soon-to-be 70 year old who suffered a transverse sinus venous thrombosis. That's a precursor to a stroke, caused by a blood clot in the brain. It can kill you. My aunt died of a pulmonary embolism and she was only 61. So, yeah, that kinda does matter. What we are dancing around here is you want to focus on the "optics" and I want to focus on why it's happening. I don't care at all about the general public's reactions, I care about the selective bias and attention from the media that's haphazardly shaping minds of voters. If we are going to damage Biden's chances due to journalistic malpractice, it needs to be identified. We need to hold a standard that is the same for each candidate. Ryan this is completely different from 2016. A vote for Biden is a vote for his administration, not for him himself. Biden is not fully there anymore. The results tell me otherwise.

Here are some other stats from the CBS News Poll – June 28-29, 2024: 72% of voters say that Biden should not be running. Among those 72%, 86% say that Biden's age is a reason why he shouldn't be running, and 71% think that decisions that he might make in office are reasons why he shouldn't run. 64% of voters think that Biden should step aside and let another Democrat run for president. Which is not different than the poll conducted five months ago where 81% of polled individuals said that Biden was too old to run for a second term.

That's absolutely irrelevant to what's going on today. It doesn't matter. It doesn't compare to Biden in terms of the American response. That. Is. What. I. Know. And. That's. What. Matters. Right. Now. I do capital letters, and you like to do periods after every word to exclaim yourself. The difference is that I don't bitch about it, and you do. Biden's health issues and mental acuity are many and for all to see. I could Google her health issues, but it does not matter in this situation. So, in other words, you don't have the slightest idea. It doesn't matter? What..? When you have a coordinated media effort from every angle to influence the minds and opinions of voters, it absolutely does matter. Ryan, if you can't grasp what I'm saying than I don't know what to tell ya. IT'S NOT ME THAT I'M TALKING ABOUT WHO IS FOCUSING ON THE OPTICS. ITS A VERY GOOD PORTION OF AMERICA. RIGHT, OR WRONG, they did not focus on Hillary the way they have on Biden. I'll tell you why, it's because Hillary's health situation was not as outwardly apparent as Biden's. Why is it so hard for you to grasp that? Sheesh. You tried to compare Hillary's health to Biden's. They have different issues. A lot of what Biden has is outwardly noticeable. That's what started all of this. There's zero comparison. Biden's outward deficiencies are VERY apparent. It bothers a lot of Americans. It doesn't matter because the situation today is COMPLETELY different than it was in Hillary's time

Hilary was brought up because it's the same media-driven frenzy that we are seeing today. Are the situations different? Yes. Is the method of the messaging comparable? Also yes. Just because two situations exist in different manifestations doesn't make the point irrelevant. To say it doesn't matter is asinine. It's literally shifting the markets as we speak. Harris has become the betting favorite to be the Dem nominee. Narratives and agendas impact things. The New York Times has seven negative Biden articles on their homepage today. Seven. Not a single word on Trump's health, not a single word on Trump's criminality (other than his sentencing being pushed to September) and it's a travesty. That's all.

Here's an important, very real hypothetical scenario: If Biden wins the election, Trump almost certainly will launch lawsuits that will make their way to the Supreme Court. What if the Supreme Court just hands the election to Trump based on laws they continue to rewrite?

Hillary didn't have the outward horrible optics that Biden does. The Media and Americans couldn't pick on Hillary on that department at the level they are with Biden. The larger point is that you tried to tie the two situations together. Not happening.

I'm tying the media's agenda together, point blank. Be honest with yourself, you have no idea what Biden's health situation actually is in medical terms. You see what everyone sees and you consume what everyone else consumes. This is "but her emails" on steroids.

I have a responsibility and I don't take it lightly, even on a place where few people read this subforum. I've maintained for a long time that Biden is old, it's not something I care about. I won't partake in selfish, irrational mass hysteria. I'd vote for an empty chair over voting for a candidate like Donald Trump. Principles.

Biden has taken the lead in Wisconsin's polling average, per 538. Meanwhile, the media assault continues for an eighth day, with wall to wall coverage. An op-ed in the New York Times was titled "Why I Don't Vote. And Why Maybe You Shouldn't Either."
I'd say it's unbelievable, but we passed that point sometime over the weekend.

Vladimir Putin, in a televised speech, says he supports Trump's plan to end the war in Ukraine. that's cause they are working together. They love Tucker Carlson, and have featured him on their propoganda network. trump and putin probably have a back channel going. Wouldn't surprise even a little bit. Because this doesn't matter, to probably 40% of Americans...we may be screwed. Just a small example of the big picture.

It's funny, I never realized, in a historical context, how often what we are seeing happen truly has already occurred. Pollsters and pundits wanted Obama to step aside in 2012 to make room for Hilary. They wanted Hilary to step down in 2016 due to health reasons. It's almost like there's a cyclical, cynical element to what we're seeing.

It's not different at all. If you think anyone in politics clearly doesn't have an agenda, you're off your rocker. The voices have changed, the message is still the same. And again, this is largely driven by media forces that are amplifying a message of division. If you aren't questioning everything, you're far behind where you need to be.

It's a logical fallacy to question one side and not the other. It's a logical fallacy to demand change on one side and not the other. One candidate is 81, the other is 78. For the third straight cycle, we have the two oldest nominees in history. We have an election denier, an insurrectionist, a convicted felon, a person with close ties to known pedophiles, a person who has claimed more than once he is out for political retribution....and then there's Joe Biden. It's disingenuous, divisive behavior engineered by corporate donors and controllers because Trump generates ratings and clicks.

I've watched a lot, and played, of sports in my life. I've also given many presentations to a range of audiences over the years...including a few in the audience where you would actually recognize the name. I know what it takes to deliver a presentation and affect the audience. What we saw last week was "losing"...and I know what that looks like. That's what people are reacting to...losing. what's complex about that??

If you believe that the uproar would be the same if the media hadn't spent a week plus now hammering it into the ground, you're wrong. Point blank. And still...you're framing everything off of one appearance, one debate, one side, one perspective. That's all you have to go on. There's a whole hell of a lot more to it.
