I’m guessing we’re a 5 seed, but I’d be happy to drop down to the top 6 seed which could allow us to stay in the west and avoid the #1 seed until a potential regional final. It would also keep us away from a bracket with UConn or Houston and the #1 would like be the 4th overall seed, and Arizona is very beatable as a #2 if we were to meet.

I'm guessing that 4-4 record down the regular season stretch pushed us down quite a bit from the 4-seed we started with. I'd guess we're the first 6.
ADD: After checking some brackets, it looks like a couple of smaller AQ conference reps have trickled down to the 11 line, so if we're a 6 we might not have to go against a power conference team. We'll find out in a few hours!

We'll find out in a few hours! We finished 6-5 counting the MW Tourney, 4-4 in the MW conference, not sure if Lundardi alone dropped the Aztecs off the five line. We didn't have the strongest finish in Feb/March. We need ALL the shooters to turn around, and I mean ALL of them: Butler, Trammell, Byrd, Waters, Parrish, and Saunders. |

The play in games will be for 10 seeds most likely!? Thats nuts |

I had us as a 6 going in. 2–1 in MWCT with all being quad 1 helped microscopically but not enough. #6, I will be surprised if anything else.
In some ways I prefer #6 as some of the #1 seem far better than #2s.

I am not going to complain no matter what seed they get, they certainly had their chances late in the season for a preferred seed/path but it just didn't work out. It's so much better than when we had to worry if we were going to get in. And if we did get in which double digit seed would we receive. |

A win yesterday we would be a solid 5 perhaps even a 4. I see us as a 6 today. OMG would I be disappointed in a 7
Teams in 4: UNLV on the bubble, CSU only if they are very lucky. A a very long shot there are 6 in.

Keep in mind that if we are a 6 seed, we can get someone from the Big 10 (Michigan State or Nebraska), or the ACC (NC State), the SEC (Mississippi State) or even the Duck attack--Oregon. Look for highlight yellow uniforms.
If a 5 seed, McNeese State or UAB. Just keep us away from the UConn bracket.

Lunardi has us a 6 against Oregon in Omaha. Palm a 6 against Drake in Brooklyn. Both in the East Regional with No. 1 UCONN.

Seems like a pretty favorable location for the first game and opponent. Don't know much about UAB, but I do know we are battle tested and ready.

5 Seed was all but a lock, but that is a KILLER region. Auburn is a 4 thats as good as a 2, UConn is the top team overall, and Iowa St. dropped the hammer on Houston
