Yes. When Parrish and Waters make shots, we can beat almost anyone. Butler made 2 threes in the second half. LeDee was at his peak the second half, like he usually is, but that extra scoring turned the game into a blowout. One not so surprising thing is the, ahem, less than great conditioned Osobor running out of gas in the second half after playing an OT game the night before. No doubt about LeDee! We gonna need him like that in the NCAAs! Just no early foul trouble! |

Great to see Micah and Waters bust through! Crucial for their confidence moving forward!
Personally, this ass kicking was redemption for our loss to Utah St. in '20, when Sam Merrill beat us...
Great effort fellas.....Outstanding defense and we shot the ball without fear!

Like the announcers said, CSU or NM way have dead legs tomorrow. Not only has no team ever won 4 MWC tournament games in the same year, no team has even PLAYED 4 games in 4 days in this tournament. And it's a very short turnaround by the time their game ends. |

Not winning the title game and the Aztecs women did play 4 mwc tournament games in 4 days. The CSU-NM winner will play 4 games this year.

The guys gutted this one out. Have to give props to Parrish, Butler, Trammel and Waters. Waters especially. He didn't hit from outside but he made some really tough shots and at least 2 offensive rebounds. Hopefully, this game will help him get out of the funk he's been in because we need his offense to make a run this month. Also, Heide came in when LeDee had to sit and did some good things. Really impressed on how resilient we were today. USU is a good team and shot really, really well in the first half. I don't understand what Sprinkle was thinking fouling so much when the game was still competitive.
Oh, have to point out that Arizona got smashed by Oregon. Zona thinks they are too good for the PAC12 but they would have struggled in the MWC.

I said some things last night about waters and parish that I’m embarrassed about now. Boy, did they make me look like an idiot and I couldn’t be happier about it. These two players made us proud tonight as did the rest of our Aztecs. Amazing amazing amazing. My only bit of advice for Dutch. Whatever we do for a pregame routine, throw it in the trash and do the exact opposite. Love my Aztecs.. Very nice mea culpa. We get it, it’s so intense we LOVE our Aztecs, these games mean so much in so many ways. We all get worked up and sometimes say or post stuff we can go back later and feel bad. Class move! |

You mean all we have to do is shoot well and we win by double digits? I say we stick to that plan. That’s what so frustrating so often. When we play well, smart, take and make good shots, our upside is huge … like top 5 good. We proved that last season. We are usually our own worst enemy on O. For tomorrow… lather, rinse, repeat |

Unreal comeback tonight. Just incredible. Seriously! That is an Aztec All Timer… down 17 win by 16??!! With Ledee on the bench half the game thanks to lousy refs calling terrible fouls on our best player. The refs were terrible for them at times as well, but when you make those 2 BS calls on Jaedon early and it impacts so much nothing trumps that. This one should go into Aztec lore. It probably locks us in as a 5 seed - we’d probably dropped to a 6. Win tomorrow… maybe a 4 seed … out west |
