I would agree that playing at a true other venue in Las Vegas will work
Doubt the T moves out of Las Vegas but think that Anaheim could also be a decent area if one is needed

Vegas really is the perfect location... I don't understand all the need to speculate on alternate locations.

I was about to speculate that the Big 12 will probably move their conference tourney to Vegas, with the Pac 12 leaving.....until I looked it up and they are locked in to T-Mobile Center in Kansas City through 2031. There's one advantage we have over the Big 12 at least. I wouldn't be shocked if the Big 12 moves to Las Vegas in 2032. KC is actually an awesome spot for hoops. They have their Power and Light District right across from the arena, and the country's best bbq. I had a blast there for a Sweet 16/Elite 8 trip.

Not broken, don't fix. Aztec season ticket holder who go to MGC Championship every year. So you are ok with unlv playing in their home gym. Cool. Wait until it costs SDSU a tourney bid. Yes, it is their Arena. However, the MW has attempted to mitigate their advantages. UNLV does not use their regular locker room. The floor and the baskets are different. They are required to stay in a Hotel like the other Schools. The MW rents the Arena and it is an MW event. Not a UNLV event. The only advantage UNLV gets is the advantage of no travel. Period. The UNLV Athketic Dept benefits from some Rent and concessions revenue. They last time UNLV advanced past the quarters was 2014 when they made the semis as a #4 seed and got beat, once again, by our beloved Aztecs. The MW is getting around $1.3 mil in comps from the LVCVA. If the MW goes somewhere else, they have to pay. As you can see, the UNLV Basketball Team gets a minimal advantage. This is not St Johns playing the Big East Tourney in the MSG.

The conference tournament should be about fairness.

I think any complaints about UNLV having an unfair advantage are out the window when you look at how well they do in the tourney. It's a great tourney, don't mess with it

The conference tournament should be about fairness. It's fair. They're not being able to advance past the quarters indicates such. The money is important at this level. That ~$100 grand extra per School, covers things like practice facility upgrades. Extra custodians. Grad assistants. This is the MW. That means a lot to the smaller programs.

Go back and look at the Tourney history. Most of that winning was done pre 2014. Back when UNLV was good. Not so much since the current alignment. You also have to discount their record between 2004-2006, when the Tourney was in Denver. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_West_Conference_men%27s_basketball_tournament

The tourney at T&M is probably the best thing the MWC has going and actually has developed some history so no changes should be made. If the tourney was to be moved I’ve always liked the idea of Phoenix. Centrally located, neutral site and spring training baseball in the afternoon and basketball after dark appeals to me.
