Another bizarre pitching change. I really hope someone pins Shildt down after the game and asks why Vasquez couldn't go on more batter in the 7th. He threw 92 pitches, he can't throw another half-dozen? He got Carrol out the previous AB. |

He threw 92 pitches, he can't throw another half-dozen? He got Carrol out the previous AB. He makes a ton of pitching changes with two outs. Situationally, it's a way to capitalize on the three batter rule. But often, it results in strange outcomes that hurt the team. Estrada came in with two outs in relief of Morejon last weekend and struggled, too. |

Can't get the ball/strike challenge system in use in AAA up to MLB fast enough.

And, we can't even get a darn single to drive in a run with RISP, which are more common than home runs. Again, 1-14 today. Shoot, I'd take just a measly single at this point. |

I'm assuming Shildt will mention that if the season ended today, we'd still be a Wild Card team. Of course there are 5 teams 1 or less games behind us for that third spot and another two teams just 3 gams behind us.

All we can hope for is that they're in the Wild Card talk at the All Star Break (which I think we will be) and we somehow right the ship in the second half. A lot has to happen, but at least the pitching's there. I would be a lot less hopeful if it wasn't. Tatis is picking it up, so that's a good sign. |

Bottom of the lineup has to do more.
Guys like Kim and Wade.
Higashioka has been doing better lately, but both him and Campy have been underwhelming over the entire season.
Give Wade's ABs to Solano and Manny.

This club needs a Dick Williams to tear a few guys a new a**hole. There's a difference between being a positive, supportive manager and being a the-sun'll-come-up-tomorrow Mr. Rogers. I feel like he's just moving the deck chairs around on the Titanic.
I can't listen to him any more. It's getting a bit absurd.
