Ugh. Thanks for the Machado reminder. Lol. He does seem to be connecting a bit better of late. The 97.3 guys were talking about what hopeful signs to look for, and hard hard contact to opposite field/RC were #1 on the list, and I have seen more of those of late, so fingers crossed. His wrC+ is up 20 points over the last few weeks.

It was a general comment about Luzardo's performance this season relative to where he was prior to this moment. He's more expensive than Crochet in terms of actual dollars, for a team with very little tax wiggle room that has a mandate to stay under the CBT. I'm fully aware of the Luzardo rumors, he's been a Preller target for multiple years now, as was Arraez. They couldn't come to terms on a deal for a larger package when Kim Ng was the GM, but they definitely tried. Not everything is an attack on you.

Also, it's pretty rare to trade with the same team twice in a handful of weeks, particularly when the opposing team's rookie GM was dragged through the mud by local media for paying off the Arraez salary to the league minimum. Luzardo would likely cost at least one of Snelling or Lesko, if not both. Pricy.

You might want to look at your comments/rebuttals a bit more closely. They sure sound patronizing and judgmental and I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Look, I don't need a pat on the back or a Kumbaya duet with someone. You obviously know a whole lot of interesting and informative things but try rereading your posts for a moment to think about how they might be interpreted. Unless you really mean all of what I'm getting at and that's OK too.

It wasn't directed at you, you just happened to post it, so I responded. I already apologized once, then you attacked me again and literally quoted a single line out of a detailed farm system analysis, ironically enough it was about a pat on the back for validation. Don't take the Internet personally, please. Nobody should. No ill will at all.

Nothing confirmed yet, but tea leaves are reading that Joe Musgrove could be out for the season if the team determines to go the surgical route to fix the recurring elbow inflammation issue. Harder to see that not happening right now with a second IL stint. Explains the urgency to add a starter before the deadline, but the farm depth at the top has been greatly reduced.

Achievement unlocked!
Both incredible and pathetic at the same time.

In the good news department Arraez back in the lineup tonight: L. Arraez DH F. Tatis Jr. RF M. Machado 3B J. Profar LF D. Solano 1B J. Cronenworth 2B H. Kim SS J. Merrill CF L. Campusano C

I think the price for Luzardo might have just dropped. His pitching line tonight vs Tampa Bay: 4.1 innings 9 hits 9 ER 2 BB moving his ERA up to 5.30.

Yucky Yuki drops another turd in a relief appearance - followed by a full, stinking diaper load by De Los Suckos.
bu, bu, bu, their statistics !!
The numbers only tell me what they should be able to do. My eyes tell me all I need to know.
And WTF was Profar doing. Dumas.
Sure hope they manage to bat their way out of this mess - but losing a series to the Angels? … Sooooo Padres.

The two low leverage guys are probably better suited for low leverage assignments in the minor leagues.
And Woo hoo!! Louise Garcia is in there. Gotta hope he'll give us his best Padres relief impersonation.
So far, so good… runners on 2nd and 3rd - the next two batters. Down by K.
Good f'n grief - it's stinkin' Garcia FFS.

I don't miss those Garcia pitches that he lays right down the middle with no movement. The Angels can have that.
