Are the Padres looking to trade for Luis Arraez from the Marlins?
I believe Jeff Passan said it was 3 prospects and a reliever for Arraez. Allegedly.

Whatever he's working on needs to work. OTOH, he was the 353rd pick when drafted, so it's a minor miracle that he's on the mound starting today's game, I guess. Hope he doesn't spit the bit again. |

Arraez hasn't wasted an AB tonight. 3-3, he's aimed two balls at the opposite field. Both were basehits.

Arraez hasn't wasted an AB tonight. 3-3, he's aimed two balls at the opposite field. Both were basehits. Has any other player gone 4-4 in their debut with a new team? And that out he made was his best hit, just directly to CF. |

It would seem Arraez was glad to leave Miami.
And the Marlins didn't have any fun tonight, getting beat 20-4 by the Wandering A's of Oakland.

One of the more interesting subplots now is the rise of Adrian Morejon into a pretty darn good reliever. Slider has the highest current whiff rate in baseball.
