Arguably the two best teams played in the NLDS.

Aaron Judge's postseason shows you why the regular season stuff means very little in the postseason. If you don't perform when it matters, the 60+ home runs you hit in the regular season amount to zero.

That's right, but you talked about how bad the Dodgers bullpen was in the regular season, and talked about it in terms of how that will affect the Dodgers in the Playoffs with the Padres. When I brought that up, you didn't like it. The Dodgers bullpen were/are unbelievable in the Playoffs/World Series. The proper way to say it is how you said it in the post of yours that I'm commenting on. It doesn't matter what happens in the regular season. The Playoffs are a new season, so to speak. The Dodgers bullpen, and overall pitching have been tremendous.

You don't understand that things evolve - The Dodger bullpen has been very good, they were NOT good leading into the playoffs. Both things are true. Variance happens. Frankly, they've benefitted from teams just not showing up. The Yankees haven't recovered from the Freeman grand slam and they have been absolutely dormant offensively. Just to illustrate randomness: Walker Buehler's start against the Mets was his best start from a Stuff+ perspective since 2021. He either rediscovered the fountain of youth magically between starts or something nefarious is going on. Either way, the Yankees are done.

He either rediscovered the fountain of youth magically between starts or something nefarious is going on. Either way, the Yankees are done. Oh, I understand how things can evolve. That's why I'm saying that a hitter can be so so during the regular season, and then do what Edmans doing in the Playoffs. I just don't say one thing at one point in time, and then say another when convenient, such as when you brought up the Dodgers bullpen stats BEFORE the Padres played us, and gave that as a reason for why we'll be successful. Now you're giving an example of Aaron Judge and why NOT to look at the regular season stats. Which is it? Are you randomly saying it when it's convenient? You talked about the Dodgers bullpen failures BEFORE the Playoffs and predicted that they wouldn't be good, and now you're using an Aaron Judge example DURING the world series as an example of why you shouldn't use regular season stats. Seems quite convenient. I don't believe that the Dodgers have benefitted from teams not showing up. They've been very good since the beginning of the playoffs against very good hitters. I give them more credit than you're willing to. I agree that it can be randomness, and that's why I don't look at what someone does in the regular season and expect them to perform in the same manner in the playoffs. Regarding Buehler, you didn't mention that he had Tommy John a couple of years ago, and missed two months of this season. It looks like he's finding/found his form. He's a very good pitcher, with very good stuff

"Buzz Kill - No Thrill" Tim Hill strikes again. Bye.
And not to be outdone, Funny Smell Honeywell does the Yankees a solid by dumping a foul load on the mound and keeping them alive for one more game.
Glad they're both getting to play in the WS, but even more glad they're not playing for the Padres anymore.

The Yankees severely soiled the sheets in game 5, in the top of the 5th.

Kudos to Dave Roberts. He pushed just about all the right buttons. He did a GREAT job. Happy for the local man.
