Lazy? Why would you need an ebullient, convoluted or Byzantine explanation of Preller's Follies? By every definition, not held by Preller, he's a loser. Tonight will likely be his last. I am not a Preller fan. But he was responsible for putting this team together, and should at least be able to finish out his current contract.

Apparently, they can't afford to sign you. Well, I was planning on hiring Scott Boras to be my agent to maximize my contract, and we know how the Padres love Boras. Great. Then you'll be signed at the end of spring training. Again, assuming we have any money left. Maybe you could sign with the Dodgers.

The padres also do not know how to develop talent either. Look back at the padres and see how many have come up thru the farm system and added anything to the padres major team. 1) Jackson Merrell 2) 3) 4) . . . . Don’t be shocked if Merrill were traded. Preller hasn’t seen a player that shouldn’t be traded. It’s an addiction. It’s not his “fault” This is why posters should be drug-tested occasionally.

But TEN years? I look at it more like he stumbled into this “lofty” ending, not by design. 2016-2019 was a rebuild. Fowler's push to go make a splash with a rookie GM to get butts in seats was a flop and they had to start over again. When Seidler stepped in and became the majority owner, payroll expanded and you've seen record attendance and multiple playoff runs. Just have to find the magic formula to get over the top, the playoffs have an inherent amount of variance involved, as we saw today.

But TEN years? I look at it more like he stumbled into this “lofty” ending, not by design. Payroll was increased after Seidler became the big guy, and I don't expect it to drop anytime soon. Preller should have all the resources he needs going forward--at least in the short term.

But the Dodgers would be pretty low on my list of teams I'd want to play for. Right above the Yankees. I hate big market, big money teams. MLB is all about the money and making sure the big markets are almost always in the playoffs to maximize TV ratings/viewership.

Like I said before the game, and after Yamamoto's stats against the Padres were brought up, it doesn't matter what he had done in the past versus the Padres, because he's talented enough to pitch a game like he did tonight.
It was no foregone conclusion that we were going to get to him just because he hadn't pitch well against us. That was just foolish thinking.

It's one run. Hopefully he can stay sharp. He's not sharp at all, that's kinda the problem. Huh? Lol.

I'll move on now. I think. It was the second inning and Darvish was missing with location to almost every hitter. He went to a full count to three of the first five hitters he faced. He settled down and pitched a great game. You know using hindsight four innings after a reference is stupid, right? Just don't engage. Nobody here cares that deeply.

Hopefully Peralta comes back next year, he's a solid bat and a lefty. It will be interesting to see what Profar can get contract wise. Probably is gone, but who knows, maybe Preller can do an incentive laden contract. Kim, there's no way he comes back. Eguy Rosario deserves playing time at the major league level - over Solano. For that reason, I'm not sure that you bring Solano back. If you bring Solano back, you do it on a cheap one year deal. Machado and Bogaerts have to do more. They are getting paid way to much to perform like that. Eguy is a wrong side of the platoon bat. It's the right side of a platoon bat actually. Cronenworth's numbers are horrible against lefties, and Arraez is weak to lefties as well. Eguy can absolutely play second base - and if Arraez can play first as a short player that throws right-handed, so can Eguy (not that Arraez at first is 'ideal' by any stretch of the imagination LOL). Not to mention, Eguy has very little sample size at the major league level. What are Eguy's platoon splits at AAA this year?
