Damn. This would be a lousy way to end the season. O-Fer the last two games. Two shutouts in a row would absolutely suck.

No, they don't. He's missed with location and gotten away with it, since you couldn't pay the Padres right now to get a hit. He has four whiffs. Unremarkable across the board. Sure, just like in most games pitchers will miss their spots and the hitters have to take advantage of those, but overall he's keeping them guessing and he's got a lot of movement. His splitter is incredible. Unremarkable? That's not correct. He's been very good. You also said that Darvish isn't sharp, so I won't be listening to your opinion on pitching, that's for sure. I mean I have screenshots, but sure. Process over results. Darvish has done a good job of mixing speeds, but he's gotten away with mistakes.

I don't know if I would have brought Darvish out to face the top of the order again. I hope it works out.

It's not unusual for pitchers to make mistakes and get away with it. He's a master of deception. He's absolutely sharp, unlike what you said earlier. I am concerned about him coming out to face the top of the lineup again in the sixth.

Oh, heck ya!!! Darvish is sharp as a tack. He's done one heckuva job. If I'm the dodgers, I'm worried that their letting us hang around. I think that's to our advantage. We have to get to this bullpen.

Profar has not showed up offensively in this series, unfortunately. I didn't expect that.

O-Fer.
This sucks.
And it goes to prove that I was right - it's extremely difficult to compete with a team that has a payroll and talent depth like the Dodgers.

When the team you have has a solid history of being little more than also rans… that doesn't help either.
The way they've not showed up for the last two games is 100% Padres.

As a Padres fan for 50 years I don't find it funny. The Dodgers are always contenders, while the Padres rarely are - and when the Padres are contenders they ALWAYS run up against better teams that end their seasons in depressing fashion.
