Thank goodness we don't have to deal with the top of the order in the ninth, or at least I hope we don't. Think again. Never mind! Unfreakin'believable. And with Ohtani and Betts coming up! I also said, at least I hope not. Unfreaking believable is right!!! Wow!!!

Legitimately never seen a game end with that. Never. I wonder if it is the first time to end a game? Or, the first time to clinch a playoff berth like that? I'm sure that's never happened before. Wow!!!

Legitimately never seen a game end with that. It was likely the only way they would've won it tonight. At least the way things were lined up… I think you're probably right, or at least a good chance.

This team just has that kind of magic. They're incredibly special. They have the golden touch.

And the best part is they get to TRASH the Chavez Latrine Visitors Locker Room
If it couldn't happen at Petco, you gotta love that it happened in L.A. !!
Peter Seidler was there tonight.

After bowling at Mira Mesa Lanes tonight, I mentioned the Padres would turn a triple play to end it (knowing full well the odds of it not happening). And then...

The key to that win last night was King only allowing one run in the first inning. The triple play was great, but it may have become a moot point if King implodes in the first. He really battled last night. Great job.

Imagine being a D-Backs fan right now and the very real possibility of having to watch and hope that double-header goes a certain way in order to clinch.

So as expected....a clusterf***. Braves and Mets are going to play a doubleheader on Monday. Playoffs start Tuesday. The Braves may not even be able to play on Friday, as tropical storm conditions are in the forecast in Atlants on Friday--at least early in the day. They are also predicting 5-8 inches of rain through tomorrow night, so you have to wonder if the field will even be playable on Friday. Could the Braves have to play another DH on Saturday as well?
