This DBags are hot and loaded coming in from LA, and Spazquez just served up a HR to Jockstrap Pederson with a runner already on base in the first. Padres will have to pull off another comeback. He isn't fooling anyone right now - off speed in the zone? Poor location theater. Need to bear down and shake this inning off.
Padres come back. Wheels falling off now for Cecconi.

Great start by Vasquez, stabilized things well after the first.

I wonder how good the Padres are at scoring runners without getting hits vs. other teams, or vs. the Padres of last year. Is RBI's w/o a hit, or RBI's on plays that created an out, a statistic that is tracked? Obviously there are sac fly's, but just as relevant are scoring the runner on a groundout.

Or a different way to look at it would be, what is a player's average for driving in a run with a runner on third base, either with a hit, a walk, a groundout, or a sac fly. So not just average with RISP, but average including run producing outs.

Vasquez was concerning in the first - especially after the injury last time out - but he turned the first inning into a QS and should get the win for this one tonight - if the score holds up.

Profar is at 68.4% !! PA With No Outs, Runner on Second Advances to Third or Scores: Padres at 55.7%, League at 50.7%, Campy's at 83.3%, Profar is at 71.4% !! If I were to venture a guess, I would guess that batting average correlates with advancing the runner and/or scoring the runner from third, similar to the correlation between % contact on swings and BA.

47,171 at Petco tonight. I wonder how many are in Gallagher Square wondering why they are watching a game on a big video board?

No comment. But it looks like the Suck Bros. are doing their thing again. De Los Suckos - surprisingly followed by none other than last year's game blower - Suckez. Hasn't he pitched the last two games in a row? Who's that on?? Good thing the Padres were ahead by 5 so that these two "firemen" could burn four SIX of them … and the beat goes on. Unbelievable Suckage! Full mound $#!+ accomplished. Nice work Suck Bros.

Location, location, location. Well the DBag hitters are locating them. Right out of the park. Incredible - and the suckage continues. Batted around.

Unfortunate that the Padres BP continues to call on these closet arsonists - particularly De los Suckos. Why?. If they lose this, though, it's on Suckez and whoever thought it'd be a great idea to bring him in a third night in a row.

Manny was not expecting to hit that HR, but he really was, and his expression after he hit it was priceless.
