Some pitching staff changes are on the horizon. Austin Davis (LHP) comes up from El Paso today. Nabil Crismatt, signs a minor league contract. Boogerts will likely move to the 60-day IL. Looks like it was No Go Joe moving instead.
Apparently Davis hasn't pitched in the majors since 2022 - but was reportedly closing games successfully for El Paso. Seems like another desperation move by AJP.
Also in the rumor file: James Wood possibly just missed a San Diego appearance. Rumors have it that he'll be called up this weekend to the Nats. I hope he tears it up. Juan who?
And that horizon just got even closer with Vasquez going down.

It's just about getting a fresh arm up. This is what organizations do all tbe time, they churn the roster and replace assets at low costs. The Dodgers did it repeatedly this season; throwing a guy, DFA'ing him afterwards and finding replacements. Wood is coming up Monday, not a rumor. |

Cosgrove hitting the IL was likely the impetus for moving Davis up.

Higgy has the 2nd highest slugging % in the entire MLB for the month of June, right behind Judge and right ahead of Ohtani. Who'da thunk it? That they're doing this 8-game run without Tatis, Bogaerts and Campusano is pretty amazing.

F*CK!!!!! I was just going to say that I hope Vasquez goes at least 6, maybe even 7 innings but maybe he doesn't even finish the 5th to get the W.
I know everyone has injuries but man, they're coming fast and hard. If he's really hurt, AJ is going to have to get rid of some prospects (besides Salas and DeVries)to get another arm.

Kim, another error, he is now 9th(!) in the NL in fielding % for SS. No Golden Glove this year.

They've won eight of their last nine and are no closer to LA than they were last week. At least they're not falling behind. AZ and SF have dropped back 3.5 and 4 games from the Padres.
