Ryan we’ve had brief exchanges regarding your father and I. I said then, and I’ll say it again. Those of us that served in that period I have deep respect. It was a difficult time in southeast Asia and equally difficult returning home. I took a bullet for my country and for an ungrateful generation following. I’m thankful you or my sons had not experienced what your dad and I faced. This entire thread hinges on the respective ages of the two candidates, when age is about 43rd on the list of things we should worry about. Now that we know the government is actively being held hostage, it's time to take the blinders off. So much of this is consumed through media sources without questioning truth versus fiction.
Since Republicans can't genuinely argue against the accomplishments of the current administration, they've restored to pulling bills off the table in order to not hand a "win" to Biden, at the direction of a person who isn't even in the government chain of command right now, Donald Trump.
Leaving aside the basic notion that a person under active indictment(s) shouldn't be allowed to even *seek* the presidency, it's not age that we should be worried about. It's not even cognitive functionality that we should be worried about. True danger lies in the premise that a person who actively praises hostile leadership of other countries and laughs about it. A person who is credibly accused and charged with some of the most serious felony charges allowed in the world of classified intelligence.
Should we be concerned about age? Maybe. Do I think it's a pressing matter of dying importance? Not particularly. Endangering the welfare of the United States is a much more urgent issue to tend to at this point, given the stakes of what's in front of us.
