Next on the agenda, the appeal.

Next on the agenda, the appeal. Not the point. At all.

Next on the agenda, the appeal. Not the point. At all. It's part of the equation.

It's part of the equation. Not a relevant part. It's obviously going to be overturned, but again, larger point is we have a state-led (Republican) effort to remove a former president for an INSURRECTION against the United States.

So based on the makeup of the SCOTUS, they're more likely to vote for denial? I had thought they were more conservative. Maybe that does not matter in this case, if true.

I would think (speculation, to be clear) that the Supreme Court does not want to be seen as breaking ground on new territory like this. Some conservatives think the ban will be upheld, though. It's in the Constitution, and as written, is correct.

Yet another political “dirty trick” from the Dems and the Biden administration.
This foolishness could usher in the end of our democracy. Next up, Texas and Florida oust Biden from the ballot for failing to secure the US/Mexico border.

All they are doing is gaslighting and bullshitting you. You're smarter than this. You went to San Diego State. Be smart. One is an actual reality, the other is a fictional set of circumstances that doesn't include an actual clause anywhere in the Constitution. Once again, this case was brought by four REPUBLICANS.

I guess I missed the part where Trump was convicted of insurrection (or even charged with it).

2024 is going to be absolutely fascinating, amongst other adjectives, in the political world.

I guess I missed the part where Trump was convicted of insurrection (or even charged with it). Doesn't require a conviction or a charge. The court can interpret the Constitution as they see it. It'll of course be appealed and Trump will be on the general ballot.

While I agree the voters should have the opportunity, he clearly violated the 14th Amendment with his actions on January 6th and should be disqualified on that basis alone. The FF can't account for every scenario 250 years later. We need updated provisions to the Constitution.
