Nebraska looking for a 5, as many schools are now. The difference being they only have new guys. Just return their 3rd string center, unless they move Allick to the 5. Mast is solid, but both are 1-year rentals. Diongue isn't a fit with us but makes sense there. And at SJSU.

If we didn't already have Pal he'd be relevant. But we don't recruit over guys we just signed from the portal. I think some only thing about whether a player would help us, and ignore the fact it has to be a 2-way street. We're not the right fit for HIM. At all.

I am monitoring the "Bigs" that are in the portal, and Mitchell just added his name, which could impact other post players' selections. But, I do agree that Tre Mitchell is extremely unlikely to consider the Aztecs, despite his GTR status. However, with more GTRs now looking for homes, after the Portal close & NBA draft; the transfer landscape continues to change.

We need a competent post player. Get a true center or pray that Johnson becomes that player!

Ledee is a better 5 than 4. He played well at the 5 last year, and only got better as the season went on. All 3 of the coaches he's had have agreed.

Oh my god. Stop with the coaches spiel. You said for years that KJ was going to be the next SDSU superstar by the coaches.
Dutcher said he wants a 5 recently in a interview. Mark Ziegler said it on a PAC12 podcast that SDSU is looking at a 5 and had trouble because of NIL.

Mark Ziegler said it on a PAC12 podcast that SDSU is looking at a 5 and had trouble because of NIL. both statements are true, SDSU is looking for a 1 yr GTR rental until Shay/Saunders gets their legs/games under them. So, I'll continue to monitor the portal/Twitter on the available bigs. We're not the only ones looking, and yes, someone more like Valentine or Tomiac, than LeDee. Everyone should be informed and have perspective.

Would guess that the staff is being open minded about adding an additional player at the 5 position But of course it is the player that makes the decision if they even want to visit a school - as we have observed every guy is different in their reasons for joining a team , be it NIL money , chance to be a Starter or get get a good amount of PT , knowing they will have to play decent defense rather then just a scorer and maybe for some the thought that the coaches and players could have the ability to have a decent run in MM as they showed last season and now Nathan getting noticed by the NBA
Correct only the coaches really have a decent idea what Shay can and can not do but this year could be different going from mop up time to minutes during vital times of the game
So only the coaches truly know - who they really tried to get to come to SDSU and what players said No thank you- with or without a visit and so SDSU had to try to pursue others - Recruiting is a tough job even if you get to MM Finals

Josh Eilert as assistant coach at WVU has been named the new HC there - so will see if that means players will stay or leave ?
No I was out of the country for a couple of weeks celebrating with my wife our 40th Anniversary - did not see that many guys that looked like they could play the 5
