I’m sickened at what we are seeing on a daily basis. Keep trans “men” in MALE sports!!! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this happened almost a decade ago. Fallon Fox was so "dominant" that she got her ass kicked by a 6-5 journeywoman fighter in Ashlee Evans-Smith. As an AVID MMA watcher, this happens literally every weekend on a random, low-level regional card. |

Fallon Fox is pushing 50 and hasn't fought since that video. Your argument is with the sanctioning bodies that govern these sports. If only we could focus on issues that actually matter. |

In response to your post. Duh. Again, that fight was nearly a decade ago. You'd know this if you actually bothered to do any kind of research on it, instead of just chiming in again. That's one of TWO transgender athletes in the history of mixed martial arts. Two. Again, your gripe is with the sanctioning body/governing organization that cleared the fight in the first place, not with transgender rights. |

I would generally agree that biologial males should not be competing in women's sports.
However, that's not exactly an epidemic. Those cases are rare. Few and far between. Secondarily, when I have debated this issue with people, they have pointed out that within a year of going on hormone therapy the former male loses a ton of strength and muscle mass, and their results in competition is strictly average for a female most of the time. So while, in principal, I agree that there should be more separation or regulation, it's not a big deal given how rare it is, and how few of those people actually compete at a higher level.
So why are some people acting like this is one of the great problems of our time? We've got hundreds of mass shootings every year, with thousands of people killed, and Republicans don't give a $#!+. THAT is a real problem that affects a lot of people, including CHILDREN.
But, nah, MUH FREEDUMB!!!!! MUH GUN RIGHTS!!!! Yeah, your gun rights are obviously far more important that the thousands of innocent people, including children, killed in gun violence every year.
It would seem that the outrage from the right is focused on rather unimportant things, while the important things are brushed off.

Those have been discussed quite a bit as well. And that dialogue is ongoing on this forum.
I’m on record supporting serious gun reform and my fellow conservatives often rip me for it. Not that I care.
I’d say it should be priority 1A, but I have no faith at all in Republicans working with Democrats for meaningful progress, and it makes me sick.
I’m also free on this forum to discuss a multitude of topics.

So the shooting that took place in Nashville....In the immediate aftermath, you have a Tennessee politician ask children "Which gun would you choose to be shot with?" because we have an open problem with admitting responsibility for campaign donations generated by the NRA, combined with this bloodthirsty appeal to pander to gun-toting sociopaths. Florida just passed a concealed carry/no permit bill. Politicians refuse to accept the common denominator; the gun. There will be no serious gun reform until that reality sinks in. |
