We don’t need another athlete who can’t shoot. We need to focus on guys with skill that score. This… the Aztecs are at another level, where they should be able to get. KJ level athlete with more offensive skill… for example… either in the portal or from HS… I mean to clarify, KJ couldn't shoot for the first half of the season, then found a rhythm at the end of the season and in the tournament. He looked like a draft pick against UCONN. Will the real Keshad Johnson please stand up?! 25% from 3 isn't cutting it, but if he can play like he played against UCONN all year he could be a huge asset next year.

Understand it has only been a couple of days but has there been any firm confirmations about Ledee , Dt and Keshad - realize DT and Ledee seemed to be fairly solid about coming back
some names out there of some guys that could also play down low Jay Lyn Withers ,Oliver Nkamhour (sp) Fardaws Aimaq (sp)
also have Coug find out if T J Bamba might want to come down from WSU to SDSU - 6'5" guard ?

DeLoach is a better offensive player than Nathan and AG, and the best defensive player among all the names being kicked around. He averaged 10 PPG, 7 RPG and 1.5 BPG in 25 minutes a game. He started 32 of 34 games, shot 56.2 percent from 2, & scored 10+ points in 19 games. As a freshman, Deloach averaged 4 PPG and 4 RPG in 13.5 minutes a game.
Deloach is a good rebounder, ranked second in the A-10 this season in offensive rebound percentage (13.3) and was third in total rebound percent (17.0). He also led the A-10 in defensive rating (88.7). This season, he was 3rd Team All-A10 Conference and in the top of vote getters for the A10s most improved player.
“Whichever team I choose is getting a high motor, highly skilled four man with a motor that never stops. I also rebound the ball really well on defense and offense and I’m an overall leader.”

Indiana focused on 5 transfers, with 4 open spots. NIL money will be at play. Why doesn't Nike, Jordan Brand contribute to Aztec NIL payments?

This guy would be a perfect replacement for AG. High motor, rebounding machine, good moves around the basket. Good defense. He reminds me of Josh Davis but with MUCH better offensive skill. He doesn't take 3 pointers. He knows his limitations and plays to his skill set.

Indiana, Miami have huge check books, his VCU coach Mike Rhoades landed at Penn State. Aztecs never lost contact through the Final 4 period. Services show him leaning towards Indiana & Penn State.

If not does he know something about KJ that hasn’t been announced? I posted the other day that KJ is more likely than not to leave.

I'd put it at 40/60 for KJ, but you never know. Nate's people told me last year in Vegas there was "zero chance" he was coming back, then a month later I heard it was 100% he was. Kids. : )

this guy looks solid, www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrdCFKcBy_I i can see why we contacted him. Seemed to have played in a similar Offensive. His defense is great, can switch on all 5. reminds me of a more polished version of Deshawn Stephens. I hope we get a serious shot.

Wow, he looks like he’d fit in extremely well.
Plays like a combo of KJ & AG… very long, athletic, plays really hard, gets down on the floor for lose balls, seems to make good, fast decisions. Nice touch around the hoop.
If we are unable to get a really good, true 5, we could roll out a bunch of super athletic, long 6’8”-6’9” guys and be a switching, match up night mare.
I can see why Dutch would go after this guy.
The FTs are my only/biggest concern. Tired of brick city from the line. Nate, AG, and KJ were all very improved from the line this season.
If KJ leaves this guy is the “biggest no brainer in the history of mankind.” He’s KJ 2.0 … dare I say maybe better?
Is he a culture fit?

Culture fit? An official visit to the coaches would help bring a lot of things to light.

He no longer has a final 6 and his recruitment is wide open. Either he’s starting to get some NIL offers or programs in the final 6 started to fill forward spots because they don’t want to wait around.

Very Surprised think most thought with his coach and 2 former players going to Penn State that he was going to be a done deal
Thought he has already set up some further visits but who knows and as mentioned NIL and other factors do get into the picture
Hope the Aztecs can get a visit

I have considered him a long shot from the start. I think he follows his coach to Penn St.

After scanning Twitter it sounds to me (and others) like Deloach is looking for NIL Money.

So do most of us
or maybe he wants to at least visit Florida or California and see what the offers might be
Not easy getting quality 5's to sign as many might have expected
