SDSU was the highest #5 seed thus they got to play the lowest #12 mid major C of C in the south. I was saying that if they had been out west, ended up in Vegas and all things came out the same, a lot more Aztec fans would have taken over the T-Mobile & Vegas and been able to watch them in person, including me. Fingers cross we can make it to Houston. Tell your friend to hold off on buying the Elite 8 shirts already out, wait for the Final 4 or Championship shirts. |

I was really happy for Matt when he hit those two clutch free throws. He had a rep for choking on those, but tonight he silenced that by hitting the two most pressure filled free throws of his life. Hope it continues. They were HUGE.

Matty Ice dribbling out of the triple, then quadruple teamed in the back court with 34 seconds left when getting pressed was Absolutely HUGE! To dribble to the front court and get the ball to Parrish to the line was unbelievable.

This win was not a fluke. We didn't shoot out of our minds and outscore them or hit a miracle shot. We imposed out will on them.

LEDEE was interviewed after the game and he had a small cut and welt on his forehead. LEDEE had great slams and blocks and MENSHA protected the rim at all costs without getting in foul trouble. It was a very physical game and we won the Bully Ball game over the SEC!

This years team wins because it's TEAM not just a couple of outstanding players. Remember Steve Fisher's manta "The team, the team, the team." Never seen a better example in all my years watching Aztec basketbal. |

I publicly apologize for any doubts I had regarding Trammell, truly Mr Clutch. sure glad Coach didn't take my advice (and several others) and bench #12. that's why the coaches make the big bucks. I'll enjoy my crow pie with a strong hot sauce. like the rest of the season, some one different was the star of the game. today it was #12. awesome game, #12. let's get 3 more.! |
