I'm having less and less trouble imagining a front court of only Ledee, Pal, Saunders, and Johnson. Especially if we plan on leaning on Ledee to do the heavy lifting downlow offensively. Coaches were big on Saunders throughout the season, Johnson is now a 3rd year player for us, and Pal's already said he can defend any position. Another big would really eat into the younger guys' minutes.
Also a small ball lineup of Trammell, Butler, Dixon-Waters, Parrish, and Ledee sounds... fun.

Agreed. We had a really big team last year and a ton of depth with our bigs, but we've had really good teams in the past with about the same amount of size and depth as we'll have with our current squad next year.

Every year you have a different team - as noted the team had quite a few physical players
would guess that the upcoming team will have two higher quality players Ledee - down low and Lamont in the back court that could play maybe 30 minutes if need be . Then Jay Pal , Waters , Micah DT maybe about 20-25 . then the coaches can see who steps up for the additional minutes Saunders , Davis , Bryd , Shay , Heide , an additional 5
It could very likely have a very different look then last year
Last year missing this season Matt - Keshad - Adam , Nathan , AG - while some very good defenders other then Matt not that consistent scorers - so would venture to say this year's could score a lot more
BUT the question is Defense and that could be a determining factor for PT -

football post or basketball post? This is something I would expect from Stan because the Aztecs basketball team needs a Center and the Aztec Football team needs a Center, this must keep poor old Stan up at night.

Jay Pal 73% FT and 33% on threes and decided he wanted to be here right after his visit and the coaches showed him how he was a perfect fit ( with an assist from fellow acquaintance from Omaha AG ) Allick - did not want to play basketball here or the NIL was not good enough CBD - chose not want to attend classes at SDSU 5 This post was funny to me … I’m sure the very late ‘5’ was a typo or a Freudian slip.

Disagree. A legit rim protector is needed or the ceiling is capped for next year’s team.

Disagree. A legit rim protector is needed or the ceiling is capped for next year’s team. Maybe, but you might need to start accepting that reality, next years team is gonna look different … next years team will have good bigs but excellent and longer guards and wings. Dixon-waters is longer/taller and more athletic than Bradley… Byrd is much longer/taller and more athletic than Seiko … J Pal is longer/taller than Arop. We might play more 4 guard lineup’s because we have big guards.

LOL. I'll trust my sources on this over anyone on this board, especially you reading the Twitter tea leaves. Twitter - where intellect goes to die. You've been on a long time I assume. well that is a huge acknowledgement to yourself lol. I won't argue with you since you are clearly contributing for access to your information. normally you are bit more polite about it though, such as when I mocked the Utah football series that hadn't been announced yet, with you extolling the virtues. that at least furthers the discourse. Nimrod isn't about discourse, only making personal attacks. No reason for me to try. Since as stated my sources are 2 coaches involved with recruiting the kid, yes, I'll trust them over anyone here. I shared details at the time and Nimrod still goes on about Twitter being more reliable.

Assuming that he takes care of his academics at Auburn, CBM is a huge pickup for Auburn. Obviously everyone wishes that he had worked out at SDSU.

But it just means next year’s team won’t be as good and won’t have as much potential as this past season.

With a team based more on skilled guards... playing more 3/4 press to make best use of our depth & skill on the perimeter could be a good option.

Especially when I call you on your lie about Washington and your magical inside people. Then you backpedaled like Michael Jackson. You didn’t know anything the Resse Dixon Waters was visiting either. Just give it a rest. Seriously this is getting pathetic now.

He said he thought Warren Washington coming here was a “slam dunk” when he entered the portal and it turned out we weren’t even one of the top schools he was considering.

It probably was "very likely" WW would come here... until he started seeing NIL $$$$ elsewhere.
Regardless, the pissing-contest has gotten really stupid now, frankly.

I guess we will never really know. But I doubt he entered the portal without any thought about NIL. I’m sure he saw players of comparable level to him getting $200k and thought that this was a chance to cash in.

No I said Washington was a lock to come here if Mensah left last year. He said there is no guarantee Washington is here if Mensah left. I told to get better insiders. Then his said it was a rumor Washington was coming if Mensah left. Again call him on his lie and said get better insiders. Now this year he said everyone knew that Washington was a lock to come here if Mensah left. WTF . Tell me one time he actually gave inside information?

As fans have learned while we think a player is a lock to transfer here - or any where
the player is the only one that really knows and their priorities vary and can change - toss into the mix NIL and nothing is assured until they are actually registered in a new school of their choice
Aztecs still have to battle for recruits and sometimes things fall apart and then you get a situation similar to Micah Parrish last year or Jay Pal this year ( think AG helped a lot to establish the connection
As for next season - Aztecs build around Ledee and Lamont - two experienced quality players that I would guess play a good amount of minutes . Then a second group of Jay Pal , Micah , Waters , DT , , and evaluate the Freshmen or former Freshmen Elijah , BJ Davis , Myles Bryd , Heide , Shay Johnson and possibly another addition at the 5 position
coaches will try to get a player that could help for next season or maybe red shirt for the following - While there may not be the exact rim protector Nathan may have been - you try to get the best quality player you can get - or combine with the reserves the Aztecs do have
Coaches have a variety of players that can play multiple positions - and they might have to come up with a variation of the way the team plays to fit the talents they have
