It's absolutely repulsive that a large majority of this Congress is still carrying water for the worst failure of a president in modern history. Still lying to the American people. I get that trolls like Boebert owe their political careers to the man, but this is utterly embarrassing. When I was young, and going through the education process, I really thought you had to be intelligent and educated to qualify for major political positions. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Boebert and MTG barely have high school degrees. Isn't knowing the basics of World affairs and geography, biology, geology, US history, language and public speaking proficiency important anymore? The dumbing down of America is in full display. Other advanced countries of the world are appalled by the education levels of some of our politicians. This would not have happened here 30 years ago..

She got her GED after multiple attempts. Greene graduated college with a subpar GPA.

The operative phrase there is "when I was young". It's the opposite now (decline began in the age of Reagan), where 'intelligent and educated' are outliers, rather than the norm.

Biden’s speech last night was mostly plagiarism from many Trump policies, chalked full of half truths and lies. This was a good speech by Biden standards, but still a snoozer affair. The Republicans calling him a liar or that’s not correct was the only real point of interest. 10 more years of primarily using fossil fuels? Duuuhhh.
The best moment was the Republican response by Sarah Sanders talking about the insane WOKE agenda:
“It’s no longer about right or left, the choice is between normal and crazy.”

Because even the Republicans are confused about who was president in 2020. Is this "normal" or "crazy?" Republican jeering, like from Marjorie, isn't interesting. It's demeaning, childish and beneath the integrity of the office being represented. It's playground behavior by sycophantic cowards. If you think the Republican response from Sarah Sanders was funny or even...good? Yikes. It was embarrassing. This from the party currently engaging in the banning of books, select education courses, reproductive healthcare and human rights. Kevin McCarthy touted an agenda of "freedom"....what in the hell is free about that? Congrats, you fell victim to another round of gaslighting. Do you feel conned yet?

These are your "normal" people: trump, Palin, Boebert, MTG, Santos, Hawley, Gosar, etc al. Talk about a $#!+ show. And you say this with a straight (digital) face. If your heroes on the right were in charge during the 60's, 70's and 80's ..I hate to think what would have happened to the greatest musical acts of the day. It was anything goes and true freedom of expression...and guess what..it wasn't the Right that was driving the culture. But you know as well as anybody, because far right musicians are not very common.

If you ever see or hear a liberal defending America hating Omar, don’t engage with them on politics.
It would be like a conservative defending MTG.
That person is either too far on their particular political spectrum, dumb, or both.
The sooner Omar and AOC (and MTG) are out of politics, the better. We’re not that lucky tho.

Since the Republicans squeaked by in the House in the midterms on promises of "accountability" and other non-descript terms, I've seen more wasteful activity on social media than I have in the Capitol. Among the topics: - Biden coming for your gas stoves. - Impeaching the head of DHS, introduced by a member of Congress currently under investigation for his role in January 6th. - "Wokeness" in schools, falsely labeling CRT as a "racist curriculum that says white skin is worth less than dark skin." - Having a hearing to denounce "socialism." - Having an oversight hearing on "weaponizing the federal government." - Extreme yelling about the federal deficit with no plan on how to fix it, with no recollection on how much they didn't care when tax cuts were given for the rich, ballooning the deficit to its highest mark ever. - More lies than Pinocchio on anabolic steroids. There's no plan to govern, there's just insane levels of dramatic theater to appeal to radically unintelligent people who won't follow the flow chart of events. I actually agree with a lot of this, though we’ll likely never see eye to eye on CRT. Certainly there is a plan to govern, you can’t lump in social media trolls with lawmakers. I’ve also seen some stretching of the truth and outright lies from the left, such as “DeSantis wants to cut AP African American studies!” (Stephen A Smith and Benjamin Crump this past week —ugh) No — he threaten to if they included the following ——-“topics such as Black Lives Matter, slavery reparations and queer theory are no longer subjects to be taught. They are included only on a list of topics that states and school systems could suggest to students for end-of-the-year projects.”

They are included only on a list of topics that states and school systems could suggest to students for end-of-the-year projects.” Literally all CRT is: An academic theory that elements of race are ingrained in law and other institutions. That's it. I'm not sure how an objective person can refute that, the data is extremely clear. For example, you're more likely to be pulled over if you're Black. You're more likely to get a longer prison sentence for the same criminal offense if you're Black. Laws such as New York City's "stop and frisk" procedures were eliminated and declared unconstitutional because Black citizens were disproportionately targeted. Lynching wasn't illegal on a federal level until last year. It's real, in the strictest definition and actual meaning. What is the plan to govern? So far we've seen investigations of Hunter Biden, we've seen investigations of Twitter, we've seen blatant lies about sunsetting Medicare and Social Security, we've seen zero plan to fix the debt ceiling, no proposals to deal with inflation, no accountability for anyone, nothing. So what is the plan? Regarding DeSantis, Florida passed a vague law that eliminates "woke indoctrination" and charges teachers with a felony if they violate the law, but it doesn't define the framework of what that actually is. Black Lives Matter, the actual movement itself, is part of American culture and history. It's on the same plane as systemic racism and Jim Crow laws that shaped the beginning of the Civil Rights era. You can't rewrite history because it's "woke" and whitewash behavior like that. It's discriminatory and ostracizing.

Focus on the actions of biden. From Newsweek is this article. Did biden order an attack on Russia's Nord Stream Pipeline? What we know. When the Pulitzer prize writer Seymour Hersh allegations is proved, Congress has no option but to impeach and legally remove biden for this crime against another country. biden stopped the construction of the Keystone Pipeline in the U.S. harming many U.S. families economically with high gas, energy and food costs.

Good luck proving the first thing and for the 73rd time, the Keystone Pipeline had no effect on anything in the United States.

Hi Ryan, I don't want to rewrite history and I don't outright oppose the teaching of CRT nor BLM. IIRC, you have a background that involves some teaching or school district admin, no? Not sure on that, thought you mentioned prior. Prior to going into finance, I had a brief background in school admin, and we know that how curriculum is formed and consistently implemented in ALL classes is very important and scrubbed prior to rollout. In every subject, there is pre approved curriculum. HOW it's taught and by WHOM is extremely important to Parents, as it should be my friend. At least until college and graduated school, where Professors to my knowledge have a little more artistic freedom to lecture, and students are more mature and mentally developed. Take BLM for example. To those uninformed and who follow less, it's simply a well intentioned social justice movement designed to bring awareness to systemic racism in our police and legal systems, among other things -- and change modern policing as we know it. And, much of what they stand for and (peacefully) demonstrate for I applaud and support 1,000%. However, you of all people know there has been an underbelly of the movement involved in sinister, ill intentioned acts, looting, violence, etc. Are we teaching all segments, or in some states or blue counties teaching a left leaning ideology painting our police officers as criminals? Will the curriculum educate & inform on the nearly 40 year old history of CRT? Or again, will it be taught as 100% the truth? Personally, I'd like to see the planned curriculum as a parent before my child takes the course. You need to go a little deeper.

You can't rewrite history because it's "woke" and whitewash behavior like that. It's discriminatory and ostracizing. It's primarily the Feds job to control inflation. Trump's initial stimulus act partnered with the ARPA didnt help. Though, for other reasons was probably necessary. ---Controlling inflation is primarily the Fed’s job The first thing to know, Holtz-Eakin said, is that the primary job of controlling inflation belongs to the Federal Reserve, not Congress or the White House. However, he’s of the opinion – along with other economists like the Democrat Larry Summers – that government spending, and in particular the American Rescue Plan Act passed without help from Republicans shortly after Biden took office, helped drive inflation. “Not committing the same mistake is something Republicans can control, there’s no doubt about it,” he said. “They can block things if they control the House, and that would be beneficial” to curb spending. The proof that spending helped spur inflation While Holtz-Eakin said it is not accurate to say Biden and Democrats created the inflation, they certainly helped accelerate it. “It’s quite clear in the data that there’s a sharp ramp up of inflation in April of 2021 immediately as the checks go out, to implement a $2 trillion stimulus in our economy,” he said. www.cnn.com/2022/10/19/politics/republicans-inflation-midterm-what-matters/index.html

Was too lazy to get my credential while I was still playing competitively. I might still go do it at some point, but coaching is where the passion is right now. I understand the logic to your argument, I just think it's a very slippery slope when ideologies get imposed from the government, while still allowing for massive gray areas to exist under the law. Produces a lot of subjectivity and interpretation.
