There is nothing factual or evidence about what you wrote...just your narrow/privileged worldview.... Here are some facts: In 2022, reported incidents where race was known: Police involved shootings were 97.1% White, Black or Hispanic. 708 of the reported 729 known shootings, so there weren't a "lot of other races being hurt" by police. Per the Washington Post's database, tracked since 2015: Over 95% of police shooting victims are male, disproportionately Black and Hispanic males. Police killed the most people known on record in the year 2022. Black individuals are more than 2.1 times more likely to be shot and killed by police than White individuals. If you’re going to look at police killings by race, for overall context you have to look at crime rates by race as well, with an emphasis on violent crimes. You’re smart, I don’t need to tell you this but it reflects your bias. Now, discrimination and racial bias in the police ranks and absolutely in our courts-sentencing disproportionate to certain minority’s, you & I can absolutely agree on I am sure. It’s a serious problem. We need to do better.

It’s a serious problem. We need to do better. Already been done in this thread by a different poster. One of the issues is many local law enforcement agencies don't report their findings in any federal database, so the numbers can be sporadic, uneven or missing. Some of the numbers can be found here: www.prisonlegalnews.org/news/2021/jun/1/us-doj-statistics-race-and-ethnicity-violent-crime-perpetrators/I don't think the umbrella of violent crimes is really universally accurate; George Floyd was suspected of passing a counterfeit $20 bill, for example. Oscar Grant was suspected of being involved in a fight on a BART train before he was killed by an officer. Alfred Olango was confronted by police and shot because they thought he had a weapon, it was an e-cigarette. The crime often doesn't merit the response, which is part of the underlying fundamental issue. Underfunded PERT's, a lack of officer training and a host of other factors. Qualified immunity and the threat/fear of personal safety provide a wide latitude for justification of shootings. The officer who killed Grant, for example, was charged with manslaughter and served 14 months. Definitely need to do better as a whole.

Cherry picking and circles indeed. (Canned laughter inserted here) Come on! I thought all Progressive Democrats are Racists at Level Expert and can easily tell us why CRT does not compute for some minorities and how the associated White Supremacy seemingly does not oppress some minorities? Please regale us with those nuanced reasons!

Sorry, your lame attempt at a dodge aside, but when black police officers murder a black man and the prevailing narrative from leftist outlets is all about those police representing white supremacy, that is entirely a byproduct of the neo-Marxist CRT claptrap. I couldn't defend it either, so I get your reluctance to tell us all about.

I don't want you hijacking and trolling another thread with flimsy argumentation to advance an agenda of stupidity. Sorry. "Critical race theory is an academic concept that is more than 40 years old. The core idea is that race is a social construct, and that racism is not merely the product of individual bias or prejudice, but also something embedded in legal systems and policies." 100% true, by the way.

High jacking the thread? Have you even read some of your own posts? CRT is at the core of the prevailing narrative that portrays all cops as white supremacist racist ba$tards (see ACAB) regardless of their own skin color. Your words: "Because it is a racial issue. The officers don't have to be a different race for it to be a byproduct of a racially-based issue. Overly simplistic line of thinking. Colorism/anti-Blackness is still prevalent between people of the same race." So are we to believe that White Supremacy is so prevalent, so pervasive and so pernicious that even Black Police officers actually enforce it but somehow is also so benign that Asians are generally unaffected by it and easily overcome it? Both can't be true. It is NeoMarxist claptrap.

And you say "only race" where it is actually a wide variety of significantly different ethnicities that defy the prevailing NeoMarxist narrative. Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Filipino, Vietnamese, etc., etc. And, when you look at the incidents of that group's death by cop, you would have us believe that white supremacist cops somehow like Asians more than they do their fellow white people. Absolutely absurd.

Absolutely absurd. They do not disprove anything except for the idea that outliers exist. Asians represent barely 6% of the US population, for example. Most studies categorically provide White/Black/Hispanic denotations. In California, studies have shown that Asian/Pacific Islander are overrepresented in traffic stops/encounters with police. Having something being a racial issue because of the systemic policies involved is just the fact of the matter. Your entire premise is flawed from the beginning. There is racial bias in the criminal justice system embedded in every layer. www.bostonglobe.com/2020/06/11/opinion/statistical-paradox-police-killings/Please make this thread about Tyre Nichols, not your political biases.

Both can't be true. It is NeoMarxist claptrap. CRT is just a vehicle to point out how systemic racism from the past still plays out today...to argue that there was none in the past or in the present is disingenuous...to argue or compare the Asian experience to that of the Descendants of Slave is disingenuous or outright ignorant too. When European settlers, and most other immigrants (Asians), first came to this country they were free to marry whomever and raise their offspring as they saw fit...They were also free to pass on their genes, family name, language, culture, morals, values and property...There is unity, wealth, pride and esteem knowing who you are and benefitting from your family lineage....This result in the financial and social advantage their offspring have today: cause and effect...On the other hand, when African-American forefathers arrived in Charleston, South Carolina from Angola or Senegambia, they had a totally different experience..... Slaves arrived at this “Christian nation” in chains and had no God-given rights of a human being whatsoever....If they came in a family unit, which was highly unlikely, they were separated and sent to who knows where....They were then stripped of their dignity, native name, country, language, culture, morals, values, unity and identity. ...In its place they were forced to adopt the slave owner’s genes, name, country, language, culture, morals, values and new identity: n-word....There is absolutely no wealth, pride, esteem or unity in that. Thus, whites created the non-nuclear Black family unit. Unlike most European/Asian families of this era who were created out of most part choice and love, the new slave “family” disregarded all that....It was created out of pure evil, profit and control...Instead of coming into this world by choice and love, slave children were bred into it like farm animals...In fact the US Constitution counted slaves as three-fifths human for voting purposes...So technically, they were subhuman in the eyes of the “Land of the Free and Home of the Slave.” Blacks, Asians and whites did not have the same start or social construction...to say they did is disingenuous...so why expect the same outcome?...America has had a conscious effort to dissuade the Black nuclear family and success...Most Asians in the past and present came and come to this nation by choice. They come knowing their country, name, culture, religion, language, and heritage. Most come financially intact to welcoming communities. Their opportunity for success in college, business, or anything else was/is the result is of the sacrifice of Black's Constitutional triumphs. This has been your Black History Moment

Their opportunity for success in college, business, or anything else was/is the result is of the sacrifice of Black's Constitutional triumphs. This has been your Black History Moment America has made great leaps forward in dealing with racism and you point out (not sure if knowingly or unknowingly) how benign any latent racism in America currently is as evidence by the performance of a variety of ethnic groups in a majority white country. Poverty rates, for example, in the Black Community are higher now than they were in the mid 60’s yet racism has abated significantly since then. One, with any amount of intellectual honesty, would have to deduce that one has little to do with the other. The premise is that Racism = Poverty but somehow less Racism ≠ less Poverty for the Black community. Current economic conditions for the Black community must then be tied primarily to other forces. You indirectly point to how important education and family is in outcomes. Therein lies the real “cause and effect” one should focus on. The Left’s bigotry of low expectations, the Left’s laws that encourage single motherhood and the Left’s abysmal record in the administration of public education are much, much more causational than any latent racism in the outcomes for blacks as a group. And spare me the trope that says “Free and unfettered Abortion” is the solution for too much single motherhood. Beyond not solving anything, it psychologically scars the participants and has them look at life in a greatly devalued sense. It is yet another bad solution pushed to them by the progressive Left. You confirm that the proponents of CRT rely on the fraudulent “Sins of the Father” rationalization to accuse modern innocents of complicity in some sort of conspiracy against the black community. Like other noted totalitarian hustlers, some have said that the past actions of Jews, for example, were justification for their persecution (see Inquisition, pogroms, Holocaust). Others felt that people who did well in a capitalist society were oppressors and that brought about horrible consequences (See Holodomor, the Great Leap Forward, etc.). Both proven absolutely wrong at very great expense. Point is … beware of anyone who wants to control the power of Government in order to bring “Justice or Equity” for their own definition of the “Sins of the Father”. This has been your Moment of Truth.

Stop blaming the "Left" for everything under the sun. Delusional fantasies notwithstanding, pretending institutional racism isn't a thing is just false. Period. Of course there is Institutional Racism. Without which, there would be no need for the phrase "Over represented minority". CRT proponent Ibram Kendi offers this bit of word salad to describe what should be done to improve the lot of the black community: "The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination." That gobbledygook is logically false, intuitively false and objectively false. In short, a lie. The other sad reality is that this line of reasoning, if acted upon, is illegal under our Constitution. Its a Marxist's solution where the Marxist's ruse is to obtain power with the promise of future "equity" (the forceful taking from some and the giving of the bounty to others). As it has always been, the only one to benefit are the ones granted power to do the taking and everyone else $ucks. If you want to start being intelligent, the first thing you do is repudiate CRT.

So many false talking points in here: Have we progressed since the Civil Rights era? Sure, Black citizens can now use the same restrooms, eat in the same cafeterias and restaurants, ride the same public transportation and access the same buildings as Whites. That aside, are you seriously trying to compare poverty rates from 60+ years ago to today? The poverty rate in 1960 was $3,000 dollars, a number that barely covers a two bedroom apartment now in San Diego. Intellectual honesty? Your entire premise is horseshit. "Because racism has abated and poverty rates have gone down, the two have nothing to do with each other?" No. God no. Basic sociology says the direct opposite. penntoday.upenn.edu/news/Penn-sociology-research-historical-racism-modern-poverty-racial-inequalityIf you want to start being intelligent, stop using directions in your posts. I understand what CRT is and is not, unlike some.
