Well, I don't see how the Republicans win nationally ever again. They are digging themselves a deep deep hole. Trump made it ok to get away with anything you want, as long as you deny deny. They just appointed serial liar Santos to 2 commitees. So lie about anything you want in the world..and as long as you toe the maga line..you are good. Lie about how many abortions you've paid for like Walker.. hey no problem. Remember the "moral majority"? haha...guess that didn't work..so now we do the opposite. No matter how big a scum you are, you are good..as long as you are maga? This country is f****d.. The GOP has the House because their policies were considered better than the Democrats. I know some are into the Cult of Personality but policies still do matter. Also, the number of True Believers are going down as a fraction of the electorate. The GOP won the House because of extreme gerrymandering, which allowed them to sweep Florida races and gave them critical wins in district maps that were deemed illegal, but used anyway, in four states. If this country's only/main problem was lying...I would sleep better at night...but my main concern is The Hand Maiden's Tale and the return of segregation...because you know good-darn well that if given the chance...right-wing supremacist would go straight there...but luckily...this country is NOT f****d....if we were Katie Hobbs, Herschel Walker and Trump would be in office today...this country is at an inflection point from what we were and stood for...which worked out quite well for uneducated white males...all they had to do was show up...and they got the job/position over any minority...from there to what America is becoming...liberty and justice for all...a multi-race/ethnic country...which means whites have to compete for jobs, leadership, and direction...a lot of right-wing whites just can't compete with minorities...thus their white supremacist ego/self-esteem is shattered...they are outraged they are not "given" the same opportunities as those before them...somebody ripped them off...a crime in progress...it's the minority's fault they're failures and it's the liberal education as to why they can't get a decent mate...even though...even though since birth they have had every opportunity to achieve...so, you know...there's going to be a lot of lying, hollaring, storming, and drive-by shootings...for things to settle in the inevitable new normal of what is America...who is American...and who decides where the country goes.... well...the throw backs are def. panicking. |
