I agree, it should not be about my team / your team. It should be about what is true and what works. I can totally understand why someone would think Trump is incompetent, a shyster, that you can't trust him. I assume he would be tough to work with to say the least. But evil is another standard. But let's just pretend, you couldn't see who the president was and you had to compare how America is doing under Trump vs Biden. You may not like it, but Trump is winning. American under Trump is better than America under Biden. And I wholeheartedly will disagree with your sentiment about America being better off. That's a complete fallacy. It's because Republicans look at the cost of gas, unemployment and the stock market as their barometers for how good of a job a president is or isn't doing. That's also why they love to run up budget deficits, cut taxes, and give oil companies subsidies. They don't see the bigger economic picture of COVID economic shock, massive federal stimulus package to prevent widespread poverty and economic depression, subsequent inflation as a result of this expansionary monetary policy, and a war between Russia and Ukraine that has had far reaching economic effects, most prominently on the price of semiconductors, the price of oil and the price of wheat. They also don't understand that there are a lot of people (Congress, Federal Reserve, President, Foreign Leaders) partly responsible for our country's economic plight, the president being only one of them.

I think you're giving them far too much credit, but yes, a lot of this is accurate. Accountability isn't in their vocabulary.

sdsuball, you asked me why I support Trump. I'm not a Trump supporter, I hope he doesn't run. But whoever the republicans run, he or she will be demonized too. I don't think you are seeing what is going on. "The MAGA agenda". not the MAGA people? Come on man. "A threat to the very soul of the country". Every movie needs a villain. Every movement needs an enemy. MAGA they are the enemy. A threat to democracy, the soul of the country, our very existence...what should we do with such people? They are not people, they are MAGA! I can't believe what a bad idea this is...it's insanely dark...and we have seen it played out multiple times in human history. "I'm not a Trump supporter." Two pages later: "Yes I'm biased towards Trump, he's on my "team."

The fact that itβs taken 5+ years and an insurrection to get those numbers up to 58/25 tells one all they need to know about the current state of education in this country.

So let me guess - You're going to connect the dots from a Biden speech to what this paper alleges to be a politically motivated attack? That's a mighty leap off the deep end.

Could you imagine the caterwalling that would be heard if all things were reversed by person and party?

Could you imagine the caterwalling that would be heard if all things were reversed by person and party? You don't have to type in every post. We aren't impressed. It's weird because everything the GOP does is a projection. Only one party is rolling back fundamental rights to choose, to vote and to use the "rule of law" as a gross punchline....and it's not the one you're hell bent on blaming for every problem this country has ever seen.

Could you imagine the caterwalling that would be heard if all things were reversed by person and party? Yes, I can. Those of us still in said party would tell it to go take a flying F. Such as what Erik has done to your dumpster fire.

Trump calls media 'enemy of the people', bad... Biden calls MAGA a 'threat to democracy, good... Limited understanding here. Trump preyed on media who he could control - It's the reason why he had Fox investigated for not kissing his ass. One of the hallmarks of democracy is the freedom of the press and the ability to not have state-run media like we're in North Korea. If you really cannot understand that the MOVEMENT of "Make America Great Again" and what the foundations of that movement are are steeped in danger? You're just not paying attention to what's happening. Trumpism has infiltrated the federal government and given rise to a lot of dangerous individuals.

Yes, those republican extremest....Maybe we should run them over with cars... Unless you have telepathic powers, a drunk driver who killed someone in what was described as a "political attack" has no direct connection to Biden, his administration or really anything. This isn't the hill to die on. "Extremists" exist outside of whatever bubble you want to place them in.
