I realize that people can also go see the Wave and either SDSU Mens or Womens Soccer teams
But also think it would be a considerate gesture to the Citizens of San Diego who Voted for the SDSU Version of the Vote over the Soccer Vote to be able to come see the New Facility for Free -
A decent way to say thank you to those who Voted for SDSU - also could be a way to sell some additional tickets

apologize for stating an opinion that some of my neighbors and friends have said
Getting an opportunity to see the facility - Voter Appreciation Day would be nice gesture and maybe a chance to buy some tickets - or can people come to the facility on certain days to walk around and view where tickets might be

If they're truly interested they've had 2+ years to go through the Experience center which provides a virtual view of every seat still available, and I'm pretty sure if that's not enough those guys will set up a tour. Curious, why is "voter appreciation" day necessary? None of the voters paid for the site and especially not for the stadium. Voter "appreciation" are the benefits the city will see from the use of the land, including the park and retail establishments when complete. Do we have "voter appreciation" days for every Measure that passes, especially when it's just by over half of the voters? Should anyone who enters have to prove they actually voted in favor of Measure G to be "appreciated"?

Went to the linked site: Oak View Group and here's their tag line under their name: "Join our team in making a positive disruption in the sports, live entertainment, and hospitality industries." Making a positive disruption? LOL

I'm getting tired of people trashing the stadium in the comments section of various online platforms. The most common slight is that it supposedly looks like a high school stadium or there are bigger high school stadiums in Texas. The hatred seems to stem from the fact that the Mission Valley site is no longer available. They seem to believe that as long as it was still vacant, then there was still a chance the Chargers/NFL would return. Then I see bizarre comments like these I saw on Instagram

It's impossible to educate everyone, and even more impossible to make everyone happy. Especially when they're clueless when it comes to stadium design & how rundown the old stadium was.

If they think the old stadium was 'perfect', they're idiots. I've seen lots of comments trashing it over the seating capacity especially, which they no doubt think an NFL team could come back. This is SDSU's land now, and they are doing plenty to make it all-inclusive for the whole city to enjoy. But that all-inclusive does NOT include the Spanos family, or any of their cohorts. They made their decision to leave, and the NFL was no help in stopping it.

The people trashing it is padres twitter. And these are the same folks that wanted sucker city. They have changed their talk track from, "they won't get it built and Sudburry is going to take over the site" to "I don't like the stadium."

"A piece of San Diego History"
A crumbling stadium and a parking lot is not the cogent point they think they are making. Sucker City supporters still can't get over the fact they fell for a bad plan. Hell, even FS Investors went dark afterwards. Probably not a coincidence.

Anyone saying we should have kept the Q probably hadn't been in it for a long time. The only legitimate gripe I think would be the lack of shade. Some daytime events may be quite hot.

All comments I have seen on TV and heard on the radio - have been positive
What I have been asking for is have a set day and time for people to be able to come view the New Facility built for all of San Diego -
Teams do not have to be there - have it with Free Parking and let people come see the facility - Maybe if the AD wants - have a Ticket Booth for people to buy tickets for any event there or maybe just SDSU events
There is nothing better then Word of Mouth Advertising
Maybe pass out a Football schedule and a Thank You
Understand the Season Ticket Holders Point of View - also think it provides an opportunity for people to fully understand where tickets would be any additional tickets sold and also the schedule of games is helpful in adding to the fan base

All of these things could be done online, including views from every seat and finding the schedule. The football facility wasn't built "for all of San Diego". It's built for the school, team, players and people who BUY TICKETS to get in it for an (any) event! The voters will benefit from the tax revenue. Plus, the entire property will benefit "all of San Diego", with much of it being accessible to everyone (including food/beverage locations within outer edges of the stadium at some point in time) once complete.

How many times do we need the read the same thing over and over again? If people are interested there are ways for them to get all the information they want.
