An attempt at deflection. Yes, I'd like to see police departments defunded and restructured to provide better service and protection for communities across America. The narrative you are trying to seize (wrongly) insinuates that all Democrats want is anarchy and lawlessness. That's false. They want accountability, service, proper vetting procedures and protocol with a greater emphasis on mental health response and de-escalation to avoid lives being lost. The San Antonio police officer who shot an unarmed teenager eating McDonald's without provocation, for example. It's not a short list. It sounds to me that you want the police reformed to suit your needs and political agenda. No thank you. Now THAT reminds me of Germany 1936. I just read about the San Antonio shooting. Horrible. Please allow me to point out that for every individual police blunder, there are tens of thousands of well handled law enforcement incidents. It’s a tough job. This just shows unbelievably out of touch you are (if you're not being a troll?)...because that's absolutely nothing like Nazi Germany, where Jews, Gypsies, women, children, the disabled, the elderly....all were rounded up without cause to be forced into labor camps or exterminated in gas chambers. I'm talking about police reform, you're talking about death squads. My needs? My political agenda? Is it controversial to not want unarmed people of color to be assassinated? Is it controversial to not want to see the power of the badge mean ultimate authority and escaping of consequences? Why does a 12 year old in Cleveland need to get shot by a police officer who showed up to the scene and fired his first bullet less than 30 seconds later? It's a tough job, but that doesn't excuse the behavior. It doesn't provide justice for families of people shot in the back 16 times. It doesn't bring back George Floyd, Tamir Rice, Stephon Clark, Oscar Grant, Eric Garner, Philando Castile or the dozens of others that have suffered the same fate while the officer gets to go back to work.

According to David DePage’s former partner, Gypsy Taub (who is far from a saint) he’s been a nut case for a long time and a leftist extremists. I’m not suggesting leftist extremists are nut cases. Another account indicates he was right wing extremist with wild conspiracy theories, more likely, nevertheless a nut case. Perhaps DePage has a toggle switch in his brain. Links below.
Surely there must be surveillance video of the break end. Some accounts suggest there was more broken glass on the exterior of the backdoor than the interior of the home which seems suspicious. Also, I would have thought there would have been a security alarm system of greater sophistication than an average household that would have prompted a call. Additionally, if the security system was not activated that would have prompted a call, which my cheap system provides. Regardless DePage shouldn’t see daylight for a long, long time. abc7news.com/who-attacked-paul-pelosi-david-depape-nancy-husband-conspiracy-theory/12392008/Uh, nowhere in there does it mention the word "leftist"...I do see "Pizzagate" which is a QAnon staple, COVID denials (a far-right conspiracy theory) and "hang Mike Pence"....which has nothing to do with the left.

I must admit it is rather unpleasant expressing (at least in my opinion) rational viewpoints only to get immediately dogpiled upon by 6 or so liberal posters. Any thought which doesn’t perfectly align with their views gets immediately attacked. I can see why other conservative independent posters steer clear of this board. If I am being threatened with a cancel culture mentality, fine. You're not a victim, you're just being an idiot. That doesn't excuse your actions here, unfortunately. No rational person would have responded to my post logically about defunding the police with "Well, that sounds like Naziism to me"....because it's completely irrational and silly. You've proven that you can't answer basic questions, your complaints are always the same (the economy, inflation, the border, voter fraud) and you never have a response for when you're proven wrong. You still can't admit inflation is a global phenomenon that didn't start in the United States. You still believe the election was stolen, despite zero proof, every court case being thrown out by favorable judges and you still believe Trump was a good president. Maybe that's your fault and not ours?

Yes, but the difference is he actually believes it and is not trying to troll. AM & Thor, on the other hand, I don't buy they truly believe half of what they write, instead I sense they enjoy getting a rise out of the rest of you. Nails actually references where his ideas are coming from and although his references may be way out there at least he's attempting to debate in good faith. All AM & Thor ever do is regurgitate the same Fox talking points ad nauseam and then sit back and watch your heads pop off.

This post isn't going to age well. How fast the TDS crowd believes exactly what they are told by partisan media. That post is going to age just fine, thank you. The guy is a right wing, Q'Anon, MAGA supporter. He's been told by the right that Pelosi is a traitor and should be executed. (MTG used exactly those words, and others have suggested the same thing.) Yeah, I wonder what his motive was? Please... You go right past the obvious insanity of the man and right into the TDS. Do you blame Democrats and Bernie for the Scalise shooter? Do you blame Democrats and Schumer for the Kavanaugh stalker? Do you blame Democrats for the Rand Paul attack? Do you blame Palin for the Giffords attack ? Do you blame average Muslims for the 911 attack (after all many read the same Quran and go to Mosque)? Do you blame Obama and BLM for the increased instances of ambushes and murder of police? Do you blame BLM for the Waukesha murders (I'm sure you checked the perp's websites didn't you?)? Do we blame Jody Foster for John Lennon's murder? And perhaps you haven't been in the real world that long, but do you have any experience with the insanity that comes with Meth abuse? Those with "Tweaker" insanity have conspiracy theories coming out their eyeballs by the way. The schizophrenia that often comes with heroin addition? The derangement that can come with Extacy abuse? Nothing but intellectual dishonesty in your cause and effect argument and obvious double standard on the phony outrage. TDS.

Sure this matters for those capable of critical thought. Unfortunately, once the conspiracy theory is out there and repeated enough times, it becomes reality. I am convinced that if trump repeated the lie that the moon landing was faked, he'd have 25% to 30% of Americans all in on it!!!

This guy is a loony toon. Closer to a Jared Loughner than anything else. And recall how Democrats called out GOP political discourse as his motive back when Loughner shot Giffords? False equivalences indeed! Depape's plans to make Nancy show her broken kneecaps to Congress is particularly cunning and sane. Yeah, a regular Che Guevara!

False equivalences indeed! Depape's plans to make Nancy show her broken kneecaps to Congress is particularly cunning and sane. Yeah, a regular Che Guevara! Do you fact check....anything? Not only was Loughner's attack politically motivated...it was personal, too. "Three years ago, Loughner had found a place at a community college and attended one of Giffords' outdoor meetings with constituents. He submitted a written question that essentially asked: "What is government if words have no meaning?" When Giffords, presumably baffled, gave only a cursory response, Tierney said Loughner was angered. "He said, 'Can you believe it, they wouldn't answer my question', and I told him, 'Dude, no one's going to answer that'," Tierney said. "Ever since that, he thought she was fake, he had something against her." We get it - You're not capable of independent thought, cut from the cord of what your brainwashing tells you. That doesn't make it reality. "He's mentally ill" is overly simplistic, while not fitting your aversion to the truth.

Yes, but I’m more concerned with violent behavior generally throughout our country. People being pushed in front of subway cars, women being beaten on the streets, running gun battles in Chicago, murder rates increasing….our society is spinning out of control. Not acceptable.
The problem is the political class only seems motivated to deal with crime when it impacts them. These people need to take our taxes and protect us by hiring more police and locking up violent criminals. That hasn’t been happening enough lately.

I bet the loop of the person being pushed onto the subway, society spinning put of control videos etc. goes away on FOX. There are cameras everywhere now and you can selectively pull and manipulate your audience all day long. Now trump is stoking the conspiracy theory about Paul Pelosi, the one that's been debunked by the police. The American public is easy to manipulate and there's huge money to be made doing it. Idiocracy will be here soon, where Americans no longer know what's true and what's not. Tofler was right when he wrote "Future Shock" in the early 70's. A future where population growth and density combined with rapid technological and societal changes, would cause entire segments of the population to go stark, raving, mad.
