I prefer democracy to an autocracy. That's just me. When I’ve said this repeatedly over the years I was called radical. Glad people are coming around on abolishing the Senate and the Electoral College, and adding voting legislators for citizens in Washington DC, Puerto Rico, etc.

As republicans go further right and democrats go further left, it opens a place in the middle for a new political party. Although the middle is the most logical, and where the majority of Americans are on some level.....sadly, it will never work. The ship has sailed and approx. 20% of Americans are basically the Taliban. There is no compromise here. Where the left and middle are comfortable with some level of nuance and gray areas..the far right is not. They really need their own country or set of states for the big picture to work. Like "Texadixia" or some such. PS: gray areas and nuance are where creativity come from. Think about music for example. The greatest musical creative minds have not come from the far right...or has cutting edge scientific advancement...and don't give me Musk..how long has he been a pseudo right winger? A couple months?

A couple months? I'm over both parties. Not only have they gone extreme, they have become the ruling class and we are the peasants. At some point Americans will realize this and demand for change. It will probably take the younger generations to start this change because the older generations have grown accustom to the system and have slowly moved further in one direction.

We continue down the path to an authoritarian theocracy.
The American Taliban.
Lovely.
People who bitched about, "MUH FREEDUMB," when talking about masks and vaccines sure have no problem telling others what they can and can't do. And don't you dare even talk about limiting their access to guns. Even military style automatic weapons should be available for anyone to buy as far as they're concerned - even if those weapons are used to kill kids in schools by the dozens.
This is so backwards.

The Republicans told everyone what their agenda was during the Trump administration. They made no attempts to hide it, they still endorse it (and him) to a large extent because their base is so utterly naive that they believe the grift. Expanded gun access, mental health cuts, the blood of murdered children on their hands. Do they care? No. It's all about pushing the agenda of the big lie, Hunter Biden, distracionist politics and attacking the current administration. Just yesterday, Lauren Boebert tried to tell her base that AOC's calls for protests over Roe v. Wade were inciting insurrection. The Dems are culpable in their own weakness, refusing to change policy, refusing to stack the Supreme Court and will ultimately pay the price down the road when we live in a full blown conservative theocratic wet dream nightmare. Religion is a cult and we are seeing the cultists slowly take over the country.

As republicans go further right and democrats go further left, it opens a place in the middle for a new political party. Americans don’t know what an actual “left” party looks like. Democrats have gone fcking insane and corrupt, but they damn sure as hell aren’t left.

The hypocrisy on both sides of this one have baffled me since March 2021ish.

The hypocrisy on both sides of this one have baffled me since March 2021ish. The vaccine was never mandated. People had the choice to NOT get vaccinated. There was no law passed that said anyone had to get vaccinated. There were limitations put in place if you were unvaccinated for the safety and well being of everyone, but no one was forced to get vaccinated. And I don't even want to hear about wearing a mask. That was a minor inconvenience that hurt no one. It wasn't life changing. It wasn't ever life or death. Not even close.

But cmon man, what we are not going to do here is excuse the hypocrisy by using revisionist history. If you lose your livelihood and job, lose freedom of movement, and are banned from public spaces (I.e. liberty and the pursuit of happiness) - sure, you have a “choice”. If you live in Mississippi, you can drive or fly to California (or wherever), often subsidized. You have the choice to go to a different state, there has been no law passed at the federal level impacting abortion. So, you know, AS SIMILAR AS TWO PARALLEL ISSUES CAN GET and if you don’t think so, you’re wrong, and trying to justify the hypocrisy of pro-choice vax-mandates or anti-choice vax-freedomists. This one just hurts A LOT of people, it’s close to home since the distinction crosses party lines. You either agree - my body, my choice - or you don’t. I am 100% on the side of freedom and autonomy over one’s body. This means it is no one’s business what medical decisions I or anyone else makes, and there should be no punishments or laws abridging those decisions. Anti-Hypocrisy is my #1 political ideology, and like 90% of the country has their pants down on this one.

They love to talk about political philosophy as if its something that they actually follow.

Who is enabling the outwardly fascist party in Murica?
It's the Liberals again.
