Lucas is pretty good. But Antonio Reeves is the key to making the Sweet Sixteen. He is long (better D) and has a much better shot and is the better playmaker. Not sure what makes you think Reeves has a much better shot, in fact if anything it is the opposite. Lucas has shot in the high 30s from 3 each of the last 2 years and at almost 90% from free throw line. Reeves is better but not because of the jumper.

As Coug pointed out UNLV has added some quality transfers
Also as Gundo mentioned BSU has signed a top 4 star 6'9" G/F HS recruit - their highest rated HS player coming directly out of HS think his name is Nganga (sp) trust Gundo will have the scoop .
Some articles have suggested that USC is trying to get Akot in for a visit

Stanford transfer PG 6'3" Noah Taitz, is in the portal, selected Stanford. Stanford is looking for another PG ball handler. Taitz spent two years in Palo Alto, and was a 4-star player from Las Vegas. The Aztecs made his short list out of HS. Closing this book,

Not linked to SDSU, but UNLV picked up 2 pretty good players today in Harkless from Oklahoma & Parquet from Colorado. Parquet was considered to be one of the best defenders in the conference, especially around the perimeter. Utah State picked up a young 7'0 from the U of Oregon in Johnson today. Still raw, but with a high upside. USC, Gonzaga & others offered out of HS but he's from Utah. Good adds to the conference. The MWC just got better today. The two guys to UNLV are interesting in that they both played 30 minutes a game last year at two good basketball schools. I'm guessing either: both schools have a bunch of young guys coming up that spell more bench time for these Seniors OR, they're over 21 and it's just too hard to pass up playing in a place like Las Vegas. I'm also guessing that there's a lot of NIL money there and being 22 with money in Vegas would turn a whole lot of kids heads.

Bummer, but not surprising. They have Boakye & Gaffney, who's more a 4, but not much else & neither are proven. Solid get by them. Plus, and guessing this played a role, he'll play again with his teammate Cambridge.

Joins NV teammate 6'4" Desmond and Brother 6'5" Devan, plus 6'6" F Malcolm Flaggs & 6'10" C Duke Brennan from Hillcrest Prep AZ & 6'2 PG Austin Nunez. W/Washington 6 new incoming players so far. Bobby Hurley, high churn on players in & out of ASU.

Only tangentially related to the thread, apologies in advance, but we should have a H&H on the books with Arizona State every single year. They seem to be willing to play us annually like UA used to, and provides both squads with an opportunity for a good win or a not bad loss. Mutually beneficial and two teams with similar national profile/ambition.

They're going to be VERY good this year IMO, especially if Bagley stays healthy, and better yet, it's a good opponent with a great road trip. Love going to the desert in November/December!! Maybe that's the 1 more "marque" game Zeigler said they might look for to be played on the road? Between Maui, likely BYU in Viejas, and at ASU that'd be a solid core of games.

I like playing them in football too, and so does Rashaad Penny. Perhaps his younger brother would have similar results.

I disagree, every year we hear the same old story from ASU. And it’s the same constant roster turn, undisciplined basketball with no idra how to defend. They might be good eventually but it will wait till hurley is gone

I think this maybe have been a missed opportunity by not considering Noah Taite more. Hopefully we will be able to finalize our roster and schedules for next year.

Regardless of how good they actually are, it's always exciting to play them and like the earlier poster said, its never really a bad loss to lose to them, but can provide a solid win (& same goes from their perspective)
