And what of Boise State? And what if only two schools advance? I believe that Fresno State and San Jose State are already rivals. I could be wrong though as I also feel that Fresno State and San Diego State have been rivals for decades. I am of the opinion that Boise beats us tomorrow. But, then again, I'm probably wrong about that as well. I don't see us ever being in a "package" with UNLV. Keep saying that we're gonna lose. It's working. |

Boise seems to exist for the sole purpose of screwing Fresno over. Therefore, I am fairly certain that they will throw the game tomorrow just to keep us from winning the division. That's not to say that you couldn't beat them even if they tried to win, only that, if necessary to deny us the division, I'm certain that they would throw the game. So congratulations on your win in advance...

Don't count on that Yoda, because there is still an outside chance for Boise St. to make the Championship themselves, but they must win in order to
make it happen and have Air Force and one other Mountain team lose. So, they will be playing to win for sure tomorrow.
Fresno did a smack down on San Jose and won big, 40-9. So, we must win tomorrow in order to make the game.

You know, as I sit here and watch this game and thinking long-term... It makes a lot more sense to me -- in terms of the "rivalry game" question -- that SJSU and Fresno will eventually make good rivals, and that we will likewise with UNLV (and probably graduate as package deal with the Rebels to whatever the next iteration of conference realignment will be). And what of Boise State? And what if only two schools advance? Boise's a "White Dwarf": Spectacular explosion to get everybody's attention, and surely fading with time. UNLV's ceiling -- and floor -- as both a university and an athletic program is far higher. |

Over in Fresnoland, we are pleased that your game is the first game of the day so that Boise still has a hope of winning the mountain division at gametime. But even if they didn't, nobody throws games. If it comes down to AF and FS, home field will likely be determined by the computers so today's margin of victory MIGHT get us home field advantage. Good luck tomorrow -- and I mean that with all the sincerity that those of you who wished us good luck today meant it. No wait, nobody did. Never mind. Go Bulldogs... |
