Agree with "let's get their first" but I'll just say I'd hate to play Air Force twice and face Boise in back-to-back weeks.

Def Utah State, mainly because we wouldn't have played them yet. But also because - who wants to play the chop blockers in your last game before your bowl game? and because Boise St is always gonna be dangerous with the amount of talent they have annually.

Next game is AT UNLV
then BSU - 9 AM game
then we can debate if we are in the MW Champs game
Or we can talk about should the MW simply have 1 division similar to Basketball - with top 2 teams playing for Champs
or keep the current 2 divisions ?

I didn’t realize we were so busy debating what is going to happen in the UNLV game that we don’t have time to think about what may happen in the MWCCG…
For me this is easy…
USU… if they make the MWCCG they will likely be 10-2 with everyone but BSU and a decent win at WSU…

And why? - Utah State - Air Force - Boise State It's really a non-question, since Utah State is going to win the Mountain. They're going to beat Wyoming (home game) & definitely New Mexico. We just need to worry about being the team to face them. We also want to root for them IMO because if Utah St beats Wyoming Boise will have no shot at the Mountain title, knowing New Mex is a slam dunk, which will take their air out of them for our game (at least a little). The same applies to us if we happen to lose at UNLV, which is why they're the only important thing to consider right now. |

Let's take care of UNLV first, and not get so far ahead of ourselves. We don't have a guarantee against the Rebs, and they are playing very good
right now. Soitenly don't want to see them upset us since that would put Fresno back on top, and we don't want to see that!

I find it quite amusing why fans are not "allowed" to think ahead. We are only fans, not players and coaches. And that's what fans do in real life and in sports message boards. Believe it or not, what we think, say or do has no bearing on how our team is going to perfom in their next game. We fans have no power in determning the outcome of our future games even if you wear your lucky Aztec underwear. None whatsoever. We can think ahead and discuss next year's opponents if we want to. I want Alabama in 2030. Saban should be retired by then so we'll have a 50/50 chance of beating them with our P5 caliber players because we've been a Big 12 member since Texas and OU left. |

What we say and chat about on this board about possible opponents weeks in advance has absolutely NO bearing on if we will or won't win against the next upcoming opponent. The very idea of "let's take care of UNLV next before we start thinking about who else we're going to play" is simply...well, stupid. We just wanna have fun. Talking about whether AF or Boise or Utah State is who we'll face and all the surrounds each team is fun. This is the best time to be a SDSU fan because of how much our teams are winning! Let's enjoy this ride. It's ok to be optimistic, we actually have a real deal track record to support such an attitude. So, go with it. I'd like us to face Air Force because we have their number and even though it's a brutally tough physical game, our defense is up for it! Go Aztecs! |

To follow that thought, think of what Boise will have to endure to play us... on the road... in LA... day after Thanksgiving... for a 9AM kickoff. They again all of those apply to us as well!
