Utah State. I find it quite amusing why fans are not "allowed" to think ahead. We are only fans, not players and coaches. And that's what fans do in real life and in sports message boards. Believe it or not, what we think, say or do has no bearing on how our team is going to perfom in their next game. We fans have no power in determning the outcome of our future games even if you wear your lucky Aztec underwear. None whatsoever. We can think ahead and discuss next year's opponents if we want to. I want Alabama in 2030. Saban should be retired by then so we'll have a 50/50 chance of beating them with our P5 caliber players because we've been a Big 12 member since Texas and OU left. This. We are fans, not players, not coaches, not even administration. What we say and chat about on this board about possible opponents weeks in advance has absolutely NO bearing on if we will or won't win against the next upcoming opponent. The very idea of "let's take care of UNLV next before we start thinking about who else we're going to play" is simply...well, stupid. We just wanna have fun. Talking about whether AF or Boise or Utah State is who we'll face and all the surrounds each team is fun. This is the best time to be a SDSU fan because of how much our teams are winning! Let's enjoy this ride. It's ok to be optimistic, we actually have a real deal track record to support such an attitude. So, go with it. I'd like us to face Air Force because we have their number and even though it's a brutally tough physical game, our defense is up for it! Go Aztecs! So, talking about UNLV only since they are the next opponent is stupid? I understand it for those who wish to talk about possible opponents in the MWChampionship game,texasaztec, but if we don't beat UNLV Friday there will be nothing to talk about in that regard. So, you consider that really smarter? |

Could the BSU vs SDSU - be a knock out game - winner heads to MW Champs game loser heads home to await the Bowl games announcements ?

They have to beat UNLV first, remember 1996 this is exactly the same set up. Sorry I forgot, if you talk about the past people want you dead and then the moderator will pull your post if you say anything. Either way the UNLV game is BIG, SDSU has a tendency to play down or over-look at least one game a year. I really hope the Aztecs get fired up for this one, maybe someone digs up the info about that 96 games shows the team IT CAN HAPPEN and HAS HAPPENED. Go Aztecs, Beast UNLV! |

So what you're saying is me yelling at the TV has zero impact on the game itself? I don't believe your lies. Perhaps you're not stoned enough. I suggest you take a few more hits than necessary, then maybe your yelling at the TV will increase its impact to .04%. Try it and let us know. |

SDSU'S focus is on beating UNLV. Air Force plays at Nevada-Reno this week. The loser in that game is eliminated. The SDSU-Boise game Nov.26 kickoffs 2 hours before Utah State travels to New Mexico.

So, you consider that really smarter? No one ever said that taking care of UNLV first (before we get so far ahead of ourselves) is stupid because it's quite obvious our team must not look past it. And I don't think this team has looked past anyone evidenced by all our close games. But we as fans can discuss whatever games we choose to chat about whether they're 2-3 games ahead. Discussing about who we want to play in the league championship isn't going to make a difference in how our team prepares for and play UNLV. They know what must be done. How the team performs this Friday is on the coaches and players, not on the fans chatting about the league championship. If you and others only wish to discuss UNLV, that's your prerogative. But it's also the prerogative of other fans if they wish to discuss future games. In other words, no one is right or wrong. |

You didn't read or understand my post, I have no problem with anyone talking about the MWC Championship game. I just didn't care for texasaztec calling
us stupid for wanting to talk more about the UNLV game. That's all. I know that anything can be talked about on this site.
