Alternatively, if you're Faculty/Staff/Student, you already should have clearance via Healtheconnect, but that's no easy access either ever since they started with the DFA last semester. Seems like it should be easy, but I predict a storm a brewin' when it comes to some of our more senior fans. Hopefully everyone will remain calm and patient through the first few games. I think the public app or the SDSU app (for faculty/staff/students) should work out best, and if anyone needs help getting their non-digital cards digitized into an app I sure hope that SDSU and/or Aztec Club provides assistance for those who might need it. I'll be happy to help. Just remember your masks … Hopefully by the end of the season, this will all be in the rearview mirror and the Aztecs will be headed to NCAAs again.

The email from SDSU said any digital vaccine was acceptable but now the website says that Bindle (which I found to be a joke, btw) is the only acceptable digital vaccine. Somebody needs to get it together over there.

I'm reading it and #3 option is to bring your original vaccination card + a photo ID. Pretty sure that will be easy enough for most of us..

The digital apps (my experience has been with Clear) actually work really well and it's quite simple. Shouldn't be a big deal. A backup of bringing the physical card means that it's easy for everyone. No big deal.

Here is their response: Thanks for reaching out today. I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the bindle app. It’s all fairly new to us as well so I do appreciate your patience with us. You do not need to only use Bindle to show proof of vaccination. Anything else would work; apple wallet, a saved photo on your phone, or even a printout copy – just make sure to have a form of identification. Please let me know if you need any other assistance.

Fully vaccinated event AND required masking, huh? Cool. Ridiculous. I got fully vaccinated so I wouldn't have have to deal with this mask BS. If wearing a mask is so important no matter what, then they shouldnt be selling food and drinks inside. Who wants to try to talk and yell through a mask for two hours? May just sell my entire season tix online

The part about the Apple Wallet is great. If only the State of California wasn't involved … They've had almost a year to get my vax status correct, and it still only shows the first vaccination. The second and the third remain MIA. So what it looks like is that I had one shot and then blew it off.
Geebus. If any agency in this bureaucracy ever worked correctly…
It's not that I can't carry the card, it's that I figure that since the state can't even get things right, if I ever lost or misplaced that !@#$% card, I'd be SOL.
LUCKILY, (LOL!) I can lean on my green on-campus status. But we'll see how well that works. Just getting to that "green medallion" means:
1) signing into your SDSU account; 2) waiting for DFA, 3) ok'ing that, 4) navigating to Healtheconnect, and 5) finding your Covid 19 'green medallion'.
There's gotta be a better way than being a "Card Carrying Fan"…
Oh well, I'm just happy we'll get to see some basketball soon.
Now I wonder if they'll have a "food court" this season.
(Never satisfied, right?!)

Does Viejas still sell those oversized bags of popcorn? Anyone know how much they cost?
Looking like that’ll be the price to go maskless. Might need two bags, depending on how slow I can possibly eat and how militant the underpaid, overworked security guards are. Hopefully Elite is running a labor shortage just like everyone else and the people coming to work just don’t care, like has been the case at other large events in San Diego, LA and NYC.

My hurt feelings? It was just an honest question. If i have to eat something for two hours straight I’d rather it be popcorn than peanuts, or I’d get fat. Are fans allowed to bring snacks?

I honestly think this mask rule is a scam to sell more food/drinks. You can’t have a mask mandate, but then also allow people to remove them to eat and drink. Creates a giant loophole and defeats the whole purpose of masking (reducing the exhalation of viral particles). Anything else defies both science and common sense. I won’t even get into the fact that everyone in the building would be vaccinated or Covid negative already….

This whole thing is laughable. How many games are on TV? Lol well, it was shrugged off by some last week when I brought it up. But as of right now, 5 days before the season starts, the following nonconference games at Viejas do not have TV or internet coverage: St. Katherines UC Riverside UT Arlington Long Beach State Cal State Fullerton UC San Diego In fact, the only noncon game with coverage secured is Arizona State. A week ago this wasn’t a big deal, but a quick jaunt over to CSU, Boise and UNLV websites show that they have video coverage for all home games already listed. Hopefully this is just a case of someone being too lazy to update the website? We have this issue every year though and always miss a game or two. It’s another one of those little things that should be unacceptable for a Department that tries to position itself the way ours does.
