That was a very good win. Go Aztecs. The reason why I disagree with that is we were up 20-0 in the 3rd quarter and almost lost this game. Air Force had our defense worn down, and if not for a couple key mistakes (including a stupid first down eliminating penalty) they had the momentum to march down the field and steal the game. We didn't lose. But we did collapse. From 20-0 to 20-14 and barely getting out with a win. Believe me, I'm glad we won - relieved. But it really looked like we were going to lose and that was really frustrating. The whole 4th quarter was frustrating.

Lucas was 11 for 13. Petty efficient. Didn't look like they gave him much to do other than short passes. Exactly. Hand off and short passes. He did complete the pass down field for a key first down earlier in the game. They had him do game manager stuff. That's it.

Is there anything more offensive than the toxic, caustic, lunatic-fringe, ungrateful, unrealistic, lacking-perspective, team-demoralizing, chicken $hit fan base? Please cancel your seat purchase so I have a chance to improve my location. I wasn't able to listen to the game. But, before the game I thought that we would lose. I am amazed that we are 7 - 0. Air Force was favored. I'll happily take this. We all know that we need more offense. First time 7 - 0 since 1975? That was the year that I graduated from SDSU and I am now 70.

I thought it was really crummy that when we were taking knee at the end their D lime was diving at the center trying to cause a fumble. Poor sportsmanship! Yeah that was pretty mickey mouse. Nothing new about this for Air Force.

We should be very happen to get out of there with a win at their place. Period. However you needed to get the W, be happy about it. There's certain games that you throw out all the what if's, and this and that happened, and are simply very happy to get that W, and this is one of those games for sure. AF is difficult to beat no matter how you slice it.

I can appreciate the Never Say Die attitude and a desire to keep the game alive, but he could have taken someone's knee out (he went low), which wasn't cool. I like the fact that they showed zero quit, but, yeah, that was a little reckless and could have ended someone's season.

Most teams have thousands more than we do. San diego is a pathetic fan base for its teams so any interest is good interest. However, some of us want a sdsu bball moment where we finally break through, but our OC is holding us back, again! The only thing toxic is our lack of greatness. It’s fine to wish for something better, something to aspire to. Whining while the team is 7-0 is beyond ridiculous. My first Aztec football game was 1958; I think I enjoy a little perspective with regard to what is acceptable.

This play calling is flat out PATHETIC, if this was a team on the other coast the press would be having a field day with this team. I hate that people are having these issues with OUR team but facts are facts, this pay calling or should I say offensive game plan is SAD. If we had just an average Defense and average punter we would be about 2 and 5. Call us toxic but also call us honest (in regards to this OC performance evaluation)

Garbage , what other fan base would travel hours to the ghetto only to be charged an arm and a leg to sit in a soccer stadium? Aztec basketball outdraws UCLA & USC combined. Check the UCS/UCLA FB attendance the rest of the year....$5 tickets.

And I generally agree with that, but we all know that playing like this will end up with us losing at least two games later on that we wouldn't lose if we had a halfway decent offense. We certainly can't afford a 2nd half collapse like this against Fresno, Nevada, and Boise. If we do that against each of them we'll end up 9-3. Not bad, really good compared to the pre Hoke decade, but not as good as it could be. With just a COMPETENT passing game and no collapsing in the 2nd half this team could run the table.

Let's be fair, the stadium in Carson is nicer than the one we're going to play in next year. It's a first rate stadium. But it's in a lousy location, and it's an absurdly long drive for a, "Home," game. This team just DESPERATELY needs a decent passing game. We put too much on our defense, and by the end of the 3rd quarter they're gassed.

You have a top notch defense and arguably the best special teams in the nation, but yet you bitch about what we “don’t” have. You unwittingly make my point.

They had a guy named Dick Bass. Enough said.

Only if you throw out all the specifics/details. Yes, on the surface, winning on the road as an underdog IS great. However, collapsing late in the 3rd quarter and almost losing isn't so great. It's not bad - at all - but if you watched the whole game and saw how Air Force COMPLETELY took it over late in the 3rd quarter you can't say it was a great win. We survived and didn't lose. That's a good thing. However, if we do the same thing against Nevada, Fresno, and Boise we will lose.

It was a Win! TG their collapse after leading 20-0 wasn't quite as bad as the French Armys collapse in WWII. Be happy.

I was in junior high. (No one could have foreseen the coming of Don Coryell.) My uncle took me. He also took me to the Leatherneck Bowl in San Diego Stadium. I believe it was Quantico v. An unrecalled AFB. Ah, those were the days.

It was close because they did exactly what I figured they would do. They weren't going to get shut out. But, our defense is better and Araiza helped also with his booming kicks.

He has proved that he can come up with big plays when needed, and he can run. Luckily we got out of there with a win inspite of being ultra conservative, but it's tough to beat them anyway, so I'll take it.
