The city of Honolulu and the Hawaii football team are banning fans from attending different fall sports games. That is the reason why the stands are empty for their game against San Jose State today. Capacity is 9,000 for the on campus stadium if fans are allowed. Game is on Fox Sports 1. Go to the University of Hawaii athletics page for updates.

Watched a few minutes of the their game vs SJSU last night after the FSU-UCLA game ended. It was weird, surreal and a reminder how last season sucked in many ways and also how it is so great to have fans back in the stands. Hawaii has been very strict, and probably a bit overboard in their protocols. Covid and all the lockdowns and related CRUSHED their economy. Their cautiousness might be smart in some ways, but sure aren’t helping the Hawaii football program. Seems a bit much, especially to have zero fans in- not even family.

I've got no problem with their restrictions. Relatively tiny, self contained islands with limited capability to handle a massive outbreak. Add a bunch of mainlanders from literally all over the country bringing their Covid over with them. Not a good recipe for success with containing the virus.

I watched the Aztec game on TV and it looked like a very sparse crowd in Carson, too. It will be nice to get the Aztecs back here at our new stadium next year and have a full house. Between Covid worries and the long driving distance, it will be tough to get crowds up there. I hope Orange County and L.A. County SDSU alumni are taking advantage of this rare opportunity to have the Aztecs closer.

Personally, I am a bit concerned about basketball season. I wonder what the risk is to limiting crowd size due to Covid. We have no problem filling up Viejas.

The drive to the game was no cash prize. 405 north jammed for no apparent reason that made the drive from PB 2+ hours. But the game was crazy and awesome. I'll be going again.

Does anybody know if the Aztecs vs Towson state is going to be televised and if so where?
Here we go again chasing our TV coverage and we wonder why we're not happy with this conference.

Yup, Stadium. Won't be driving 2500 miles to see it live. Would like to see Mayden and Haskell get some reps if we can get a nice 1st half lead but then Hoke will probably only let them hand off for 3 yard runs up the middle anyway...

Yes, after looking at the 2nd half in all 3 games, if we have a lead we will run 95% of the time. What will happen in a game where we are behind?

Looking at social media, Oahu alone has tons of Anti-vaxxers living there.

"Hawaii has figured out how to get a handle on its Covid problem, but probably shouldn't implement it because it's devastating to Rainbow Warrior football" is the most awesome thing I've ever read on this board.

Somebody needs to tell the equipment staff or the coaching staff that the university has put BIG bucks into their uniform design and scheme and have a great thing going.
They are really messing things up with those old school looking Boil-N-Bite mouth pieces in all those different colors, just makes the set up look amateurish like what you see in high school. It really takes away from the cool look of the helmet that seems to be a favorite almost nation wide.

Once you are in your seat, they will not check for a mask If the game starts with the sun out, you'll definitely need a hat. I noticed the sun is beating down on the Aztecs side, until sundown. Skin cancer ain't no joke. Oldie Out

Here we go again chasing our TV coverage and we wonder why we're not happy with this conference. goaztecs.com is always a great place to start when looking to see where the game is being broadcast. Per goaztecs.com, as others have said, it's on Stadium streaming. I'll be watching it through my Roku. Should be available on smart TVs and most other streaming devices.
