As much as I hate to admit it, USU sure has had our number the past few years.

SDSU has never won the regular season championship and the MWC tournament in the same year.

Tough to play the level of defense we play for three straight days.
Hopefully we boat race Wyoming or San Jose State and Keshad, Seiko, Butler and (a hopefully healthy) Arop play a ton of minutes. Play MM and Schakel like 20 minutes each and keep those legs fresh for jump shots in games 2 and 3.

It's been scoring. Last year, we appeared to be running out of gas even before the tournament. With a wider range of scoring options this year, hopefully we'll be able to maintain the pace for all three games. I fully agree with your second paragraph, though.

Any word on Dinwiddie's health?

SDSU has never won the regular season championship and the MWC tournament in the same year. 2011? Yes, SDSU was co-champion with BYU that year, but I'm not sure why. SDSU and BYU had identical conference records at 14-2, but BYU beat SDSU twice in the regular season and had the #1 seed in the MWC Tournament.

The final is always a sloppy dead legs game every year. 3 games in 3 days makes for ugly basketball.

The tie breakers, including head-to-head, are only for seeding in the conference tournament.

3 & 7 makes SDSU a team you wouldn't want to bet on. I guess if they gave you long odds you might put a few pesos down.

Look at the 2005-2006 season and SDSU won both the regular season and MWC tournament titles.

The tenth man in those years were decent role players This team has a talented 10 man rotation, and Dinwiddie is more then capable of playing minutes if we needed him to as the 11th man. Butler/Dinwiddie are extremely talented, not at all role players. That's the big difference to me. They could play 20 minutes a game if needed, and our team would be just fine.

I would have never guessed that we've lost 6 of the last 7 MWCT Finals. After losing out on such a potentially great MM experience last year, I hope we have a bit of MM karma coming our way and we can win the MWCT in style and get a #6 seed.

I think we're agreement, if not please correct me. By depth this year I meant that this years depth is more talented, not just more good role players. I think a team of this year's non-starters would beat almost any previous year's non-starters that I can think of. We've seen how many more points our bench generally scores than the opponents bench.

I don’t think this team is crazy deep. I know some on the board disagree but Butler’s been struggling, Seiko was in a big shooting funk since coming back from injury and who knows what Arops health is at. Keshad has his moments but is inconsistent, I do think tomiac has been pretty consistent. A key as meantioned is to blowout whoever we face in round 1, and we did blow those teams out every time we faced them. Boise State and Nevada will likely be a very close game.
