Is there a student section? The Jungle? That all goes out the window at a bowl game. I have no idea where my seats will be other than they're costing 45 bucks each, so I'm assuming either field or plaza. I would suggest, however, that if you care to organize the students, you can most likely buy blocks of seats once they go on sale to the general public, which should happen on Saturday. =Bob

Purchased 2 for $65/each in the Club Level. If I can make the trek 1,093 miles up hill through the snow then I EXPECT Aztec Warrior Stadium to be packed. NO EXCUSES!

Be nice if there was a site with updated ticket sales to see how they're progressing.

Just to put my original post in perspective-- What I feared for SDSU going to it's first bowl game since 1998 is happening to UConn this year: www.sportsbybrooks.com/uconn-begs-fans-to-buy-tix-facing-huge-loss-29342Can you imagine being down $2.5 MILLION before kickoff? It's ridiculous. Thankfully, we are in a bowl that originally only allotted a requirement of 5K tickets, and that those tickets only cost $55. What if we were in a bowl that required an allotment of 17,500 tickets?! With the cheapest ticket being $111? Fantasy? Nope. That's the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. Keep this in mind if we make it to another bowl game, and you're considering NOT buying from SDSU. As long-time season ticket holders, I believe you guys should get first dibs on seats, which you guys do. The problem is Binkowski gives the schools the "crappy" seats, and saves the better seats for himself.

The problem is Binkowski gives the schools the "crappy" seats, and saves the better seats for himself. Do you have documentation to back that up? I only say that because I have prepurchased (in May) 4 PB tickets for the past 3 years. I have always tried to get as close to the 50 in the first 3 rows in club. After three years, the closest I have been able to upgrade to is club 33 row 1. I purchased them in the hopes of making a little extra bread for christmas. I have made money on them every year and made enough this year to pay for my plane ticket home. I'm not even a ticket broker and I make money on the tickets. If I could have gone back in time, I would have paid for 8 and made twice the money. My guess is that brokers and enterprising locals prepay every year in May for the best seats which leaves the ticket allotment for the schools in December with bad seats. Not to mention a lot of smart Navy and SDSU fans could have bought PB tickets the first week of November when the matchup was pretty much a lock after our win over CSU.

It's just common sense. If the "good" seats were meant for the participating schools' ticket allotments, there is no way that anyone would be able to "buy" them unless they go through the schools once the invitations have been made and they have those allotments.

Yup. That sure sounds like business common sense. Turn away recurring annual customers who are willing to pay for inventory every May at full price in exchange for one year customers who's demand is unknown until 30 days before the game. The "good" tickets are meant for whoever wants to pay for them at the price they are offering as soon as they are offered starting in May. That's it.

If we're not in it in 2012 then expect to see lots of empty seats that brokers can't sell.

If we're not in it in 2012 then expect to see lots of empty seats that brokers can't sell. Me and the other folks who buy the 15k best seats in May will still be able to sell for a modest profit. I couldn't care less about scalpers or anybody else when it comes to December bowl game tickets.

The bowl executives keep the "good" seats for themselves and NOT for the participating schools.
