Palin is not another private citizen. She is an ex gov, who quit, ex vp nominee and TV host and pundit. She is very influential with conservatives and hands out endorsements to canidates.
Republican congress and senate all vote together and are able to negotiate with strength in numbers. Bush before this did place in effect some very bad decissions that will haunt this country forever. Iraq, tax cuts during a time of war, deregulation on banking and wall street and the worst not taking action or even holding one meeting when briefed on possible airline attacks by Bin Laden.
Obama has done a great job getting this country back. Stock market is up, financial meltdown avoided, Tarp loans all repaid, an exit strategy in Iraq, tax cuts for the middle class, A health care program that does not allow insurance companies to drop you when you are sick, saved millions of jobs with the stimilus package. 3% GDP growth per qtr since crash.
Not a bad job provided with what he was given. Things will improve through 2011 and 2012.
Republicans want to end FDR era programs. I paid in way too much to SS and Medicare to see this happen. Tax cuts to rich are at a higher % then to the middle class and they want to continue it that way.
Just saying that Dems are better for supporting the lower-upper middle class while republicans do a better job supporting the lower upper to upper upper class. If you are upper class I totally see your point. If not, perhaps you should do some research on past history and how it effects the middle class and upper class when a republican is in the oval office.

Palin IS a private citizen. Or maybe you can inform us all of what public office she holds. The only office I can think of is in your addled frightened mind. >>>Republican congress and senate all vote together and are able to negotiate with strength in numbers.<<< sez you Republicans........ DO. NOT. HAVE. THE. NUMBERS. They will not have a majority in the House until.... NEXT. FOOKING. YEAR. EVERYTHING. HAPPENING. IN. CONGRESS. IS. THE. DOING. OF. YOUR. FOOKING. PARTY. tinyurl.com/25gkledn.b. President Barack Obama urged quick action in the House.

Well, I guess we know the foundation that your "knowledge" is built upon. School House Rock? It did not take long to "out" you.

Just trying to find a media source for my conservative friends on this site that they can relate to. The guy who produced School House Rock set the foundation for Fox News.
I was unable to find the Crusty The Clown "School House Rock" version on the Simpsons. Actually it really shows how a bill is passed. Pretty funny.
Anyone here have a link to it please post.

I understand how the filibuster works, but I don't understand your gripe. If it is about the tax rate extension, more Demagogues voted "aye" than Repubs: tinyurl.com/26jkldmAnd more Demagogues in the house voted "aye" this time than did in 2001. p.s. quoting the huffing-and-puffingtons, and that stewart comedian is risible.

By the way, the filibuster can be a good thing when the party in power has suffered big defeats as have the Demagogues. The lame-duck session is nothing more than the losers trying to do an end run around the winners, and flash the moon to the people who told them to take a hike. Your party has tried to flip the "jake" to the people. The Obamnibus funding attempt for the next year is a perfect example of the Demagogue Party trying to finesse the Constitution and the 20th Amendment. Thankfully, it went down in flames. If the gutless bastards in the Demagogue controlled Congress would have passed a budget, they could have brought their pork to the floor on simple up or down votes via budget reconciliation. But no. They didn't want to present the people with their outrageous attempts to bring this country down via bankruptcy. Tough $#!+ for you libs. Boo Hoo. tinyurl.com/37vxzko

And I can tell that wherever you attended, graduated or not, you were indoctrinated rather than educated.

OBTW, in your tantrum against the Senate's rule about the filibuster, and your sobs about the defeat of the so-called "DREAM" act, you neglected to mention... "On the Democat side, Sens. Jon Tester of Montana, Max Baucus of Montana, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Mark Pyror of Arkansas, and Kay Hagan of North Carolina voted against the bill. 55-42 vote tally."How 'bout let's hear your take on the "Hot Rack and Cream Act"? That one got by the lame-d iucks. Are you going to rush down to the recruiting office? Actually, it's funny. The Demagogues and their sorry excuse for a President embrace Bush's tax rate law, and abandon Clinton's DADT law. All they care about is what will garner the most votes. ROFLMAO. Anyhow, the point you have so assiduously tried to avoid is this: Lame-duck Congresses, especially those which have been embarrassingly repudiated by the voters, should not be trying to ram controversial legislation down the throats of the voters.

Funny! You talk about name calling and then reply in kind in the next sentence with what you think is an insult.

Except anytime we offer spending cuts, you don't like them, especially those having to do with the military. I was in my 20s when you retired from the Nav and started collecting a monthly check paid in part by my taxes. Why in the Hell should I consider that reasonable? =Bob Why don't you organize a protest march? Publicize the protest march route and I will bring lawn chairs and a cooler of beer bought with your tax money.
