Hospitals typically start getting "overwhelmed" at this time of the year. Check out the 2017-2018 flu season. Some 99.97% of people who contract Covid survive. A good prophylaxis treatment would involve zinc supplement, vitamin D3, vitamin C, melatonin, and quercetin. Most elderly and diabetics are deficient in zinc and zinc is necessary for the body's antiviral immune response. Some doctors prescribe HCQ since it is known as zinc ionophore though that became political. Quercetin also works as one and it is OTC. If you feel like your coming down with something then you hit zinc hard with lozenges like Zicam or such.
Businesses are closing in spades and those jobs won't be coming back for years. I've heard some 70% of hotels in this country may close down permanently without massive bailouts so if you are in the hospitality industry your future employment looks bleak. Got to wonder if we still build the hotel at the West Campus site and whether we need to rethink that part of the educational curriculum we provide. We won't need chefs, busboys and waiters at near the level prior to this. Airlines have laid off thousands of people and that will filter through the system as they stop ordering new aircraft. Sales of new private jets, however, are booming. Colleges are laying off as well. You just don't need as much staff for online classes. Their budgets are straining as they are not making the money as landlords that they are accustomed to. The UC system lost $558M in March alone. For politicians, it appears they want to handle the economics of this by printing money. That won't work, of course, so they will raise taxes which will reduce economic activity.

From people telling us all back in March and April that COVID-19 was a political creation that would be over in a few weeks, to now providing medical advice. Just keeps getting better.

I recently relocated from Sonoma County California to Lexington, Ky for 2 reasons: 1. California politics 2. Cost of housing Result: 1. Traded in hypocrite Pelosi and liar Schiff for good ole country boy Mitch McConnell 2. Traded in my 1 BR apartment & its $2,600 price tag for a 3BR, 3BA house with 2 car garage and fenced in yard at $1,295/mos. Opinion: 1. Win 2. Win If the ICU capacity is so threatening, why isn't the hospital ship Mercy anchored at L.A. harbor? It would have a significant effect at lowering the numbers. We just sold our condo here in Mission Valley yesterday, we're moving to Nashville. Our little 2 bedroom condo fetched 474K, and that's without any improvements whatsoever since we bought it 15 years ago. In Nashville, we just offered on the 2800 square-foot home pictured below. It's on a half acre of land and only 10 miles outside the Downtown Nashville, a mile from the Cumberland River. For just 369K. In effect, we can buy a fishing boat, an Rv and a gorgeous house for the same amount as a 1046 square foot bandbox in festering, traffic ridden Mission Valley (god, it's getting overbuilt here, just wait til they start tearing up the golf course next year for more condos). It's crazy how far money goes outside Cali! Hell, Tennessee's state income tax tops out at 2%. Born and raised in Dago, but it's just not what it was even 20 years ago, let alone in the glorious 70s and 80s when it really was America's Finest City. Final Note: After the appraiser finished his work with us a couple weeks back, he asked if we were moving locally. When we said we were moving to Nashville, he shook his head and said, 'Every seller I've asked for last three weeks said they are moving out of California. It's been nearly a month since someone answered that they were moving locally." Congrats on the nice house and your dollar being able to get more. Hope to see an Aztec flag hanging on that house soon?

Who are you talking about? Show us some quotes because as far as I can tell you are lying about other Aztec fans. When did an Aztec fan here on this board say that COVID-19 was a political creation or hoax and not an actual virus only to later provide medial advice?

Most of the people arguing here about COVID being the sniffles, Gruesome Newsome and mask defiance, have lost their pandemic cred and should've been banned to the land of Nod long ago. They've been wrong every step of the way and yet continue doubling down on ignorance and flat out lies. ...Says the person who earlier insisted the human body had no ability to fight off the COVID-19 virus. I guess all the people who recovered were healed by Jesus. It’s a novel coronavirus against which we have no immunity. Even if you were talking about preexisting immunity, even that we knew at the time you vomited this that it wasn't true because T-cell immunity had been documented in 1998 blood samples. You were also the one who insisted no vaccine was on the way AFTER MODERNA HAD ALREADY DEVELOPED AND SHIPPED A VACCINE!!! A vaccine isn't imminent and may never be developed. investors.modernatx.com/news-releases/news-release-details/moderna-ships-mrna-vaccine-against-novel-coronavirus-mrna-1273You've also gone on the record predicting half a million dead Americans by the end of 2020 and if the Aztecs dared to have a basketball season they'd be killing their players because anti-virus protocols that included isolation would be impossible. they have the self-control of a road runner on caffeine. Stay put? Isolate? Not a chance. These guys will be out in the community -- traipsing through airports and hotels, if nothing else -- spreading the virus willy nilly to others. ...and unlike your BS list, I can cite your actual words.

Everyone who is ready to derail yet another thread, or post a personal attack on a fellow Aztec should take a beat. If you are feeling froggy and want to have a go then take it to the Politics section. I'll be your Huckleberry but stop raising the temperature in the rest of the site. We're all Aztec fans even if our politics aren't the same.

AztecTalk, AztecTalk2, AztecMesa. Names change but the nonsense is the same. Clowns who can't control themselves talking politics where it doesn't belong. There will always be people who leave California and others who backfill them. Move out of CA or don't, nobody gives a $#!+ what you decide. Posting pictures of the house you are buying elsewhere? Lol man get a life.

I will agree with you that San Diego was a glorious place in the 70s and 80s and really has NOT aged well in comparison. This is just like us as we age "The older we get the Better we were" just try to tell us otherwise. Do me one favor when you get in, see about do something about that flag. The angle and placement of it along with that trim makes it look at Half Staff. (just kidding with you) Nice looking place, definitely a serious upgrade.

I’m in my 30’s and already a millionaire (on paper) cause of how crazy home prices have risen the last 10 years.

May have been true over the last 10 years but places like Nashville, Boise, Austin, Henderson (NV), Phoenix, etc are growing extremely fast and likely will have faster growth than places like SD, LA, SF. I've read lists about Nashville being the fastest growing city in the US but that was a couple of years ago

The percentage increase in home value in SD will likely always be greater. More homes are being built in that area versus SD where homes are scarce and demand will always be high because of the climate. Just cause a city is fast growing (as far as new home construction is concerned) does not mean home values are rising very quickly. Also the cities that are popular place to move today may not be so in 10 or 15 years. San Diego will always be a popular place to live for people that can afford it.

I have been tracking all this very closely. I can say that the value of our condo rose 1% (5000 dollars) in the last 30 days. That house pictured rose 5% (15,000 dollars) in the same period. I suspect that house prices can only rise so much further here, there aren't gonna be much rate cutting from 2% now, and the affordability here is stretched, what with how much of a person's income they now have to dedicate to domiciles. There is more room for house prices to rise in Nashville. But so what to ALLLLLLL that. We aren't buying the home as an investment, but a place to finish our lives. Frankly, I don't want the property value to rise at all, since we're not selling it and we don't have kids. All rising property prices will do for us is increase our property taxes.

Well Newsom is the Unofficial spokesperson for U-Haul... I personally know 8 families that have moved within the past 3 months to Boise, ID area. Specifically Meredian, Eagle, even Nampa. Another friend is also considering Nashville. Plus, I saw a stat yesterday that shows how much it costs for a 26-foot U-Haul truck LEAVING California versus moving TO California. It costs 3X to 8X more moving from California with a U-Haul truck than it does to move to California. Sounds to me that California U-Haul rental sites are desperate to have more trucks available for people leaving this state. Oh, and nice game, AZTECS!!!

Renting a truck in San Diego to Nashville, it's $2554 Nashville to San Diego, it's $684. To rent a car tow dolly here, it's 338. To rent one in Nashville, it's 114. Same items. Same Company. Completely different prices.
