Both loses this season I put squarely on the coaches shoulders. More heavily on the offensive coaches. Not one adjustment on the line play in the 2nd half of either game. If Nevada is going to play the run for the runner to go back side, run right at them and wedge block and don't pull any guards or tackles.

Offensive coordinator needs to stay in nevada. We need a coach that can recruit develop a quarterback. These guys all lose there $#!+ in tight games. Qb throws 2 bad throws inside the 5. Bad pocket awareness. Baker looks like a mediocre high school qb. Too small, no arm strength, and no wheels.

That's the thing I hate most about the football coaching fraternity: too much loyalty to their buddies. You failed before with them, what makes you think things will change?

1st and goal and the 5 and those are the best four plays to call. I blame the person calling the plays in this game and all season. In the second half of this game when they just needed a first down to keep the defense off the field. On a 3rd and 7 the call is for Lucas to throw a bomb that’s incomplete and then later a 3rd and maybe 10 and they throw another bomb. Have we thrown a slant once this year? Have we thrown a curl over the middle very often? The play calls are terrible.

Right now he needs 0 years. Very unimpressed with a loaded cupboard minus a QB with his two BFFs as OC and DC. This team got outmuscled by Nevada and SJSU...isnt that Hokes trademark? Toughness? I am good with zero years, just don't think Wicker has the guts to do it. I think we could get a really good head coach if we opened up the position rather than doing the trickle down theory of passing down the position to an assistant. Again, the school was very lazy (or cheap) with addressing their head coaching vacancy. Hoke 1 was a decent effort. Long was a lazy hire and so is Hoke 2. |

True . Can't ask much more from The D . They gave the offense the chance to win at the 25 with less than 3 minutes left. Also Dwayne Johns Jr's not playing was a killer. Late hit on QB gave them the ball back and they got a TD

Hoke had a small budget to get coaches. You really think Deakin is a good ST coaches. Schmidt in the I formation good run bad pass. Switch to spread good at pass bad a run. Now they are average at best. Especially when we play better team are Oline getting exposed. Schmidt, Deakin, Thomas ( who I like) Kyle Hoke, and Heck as a OC.( I like Heck as a position coach.) These are a budget coaches. We are getting a new stadium yet, SDSU is give Hoke pennies on the dollar to hire coaches. |

If Johnson and Greg Bell were not injured, we would of had a blowout win and even with that, if I think it was Williams catches the ball in the end zone on the 3rd down play in the 4th quarter, we would of won.
It's not the coaches fault. Hoke had a solid game plan and even tried to make the "pass the ball and make it exciting even if we lose" boosters happy with having Johnson run some bootlegs with our tight ends.

Wow. Johnson is absolutely terrible. Did you watch the first half? With the game on the line. When we needed him most. He was terrible. |
