Haven't seen T Groves mentioned in a while? He's still a top choice for me. Kid can flat out ball & has great range, even if he isn't a physical specimen like Fox. My money is on a Pac-12 school or SDSU

My money is on a Pac-12 school or SDSU He'd be an incredible get, and if we have to offer his bro to get him so be it! He'd help as well! 2 guys who can stroke it, 1 a 2/3 & the other a 4/5. Hmm. The other possibility, albeit a long shot, is U-Portland joining his old coach. He's already added 2 of Groves' EWU teammates, so they could literally reunite most of their team but in a tougher conference. U-Portland stinks but.... I think the only P12 school that could entice him would be UW. WSU could as well, but don't think he'd go there & they don't have room for his bro (if it's a package deal).

Groves had one of the most entertaining performances of March Madness. Loved watching that and he'd be a perfect fit for any system. He's Wetzel with a nicer 3PT stroke.

Excellent interview with Velasquez today, and love this exchange. Q: How accurate are the reports which link you to certain players? DV: Not accurate at ALL! He talked about how they'll send an email or text to someone saying they'd like to talk to them, but that doesn't necessarily mean their interested in them. Yet those players will say SDSU reached out to them or that "they're hearing from SDSU". Technically correct, but doesn't mean we wanted them at all. Hopefully the links to Groves ARE accurate!!

Isn't that how the Internet is supposed to work? There's a FOMO this creates at every mention for the players thinking of coming here so they sign faster. [FOMO = Fear Of Missing Out]

Trying to recall past transfers that came to the Mesa after first being recruited hard by State out of high school yet elected to go elsewhere initially. I’m sure there are some that I’m forgetting about, but it seems we miss permanently on those that rejected SDSU initially? Anybody recall some such transfers? Besides Matt Bradley?

Throwing this name out there, and knowing nothing of his status, but remember Joel Ntambwe? 6'8 wing who was an absolute FR stud at UNLV in 2019 before transferring to T-Tech, redshirting, then went in portal again this year early. From the Congo originally. Great perimeter game, but believe he had a 7'0 wingspan like AG and unbelievably athletic.
Our coaches are familiar with him.
Again, don't know if he's a head case or something else, but 3 years of eligibility remaining. Would be insane teamed with Keshad.

There are some rumors out there about him being a poor character guy, but to be clear I have no inside info.

Dutch landed DJ, Trey, Josh & Bradley. So far kept the 20/21 squad in tact. Do you think Dutch is happy with this team, or searching for a wing and a post still? He has 11 scholarship guys, and could actually have 15 in total. I think, there is one open spot left for a scorer. And the post depends on if DJ accepts a RS. But if I was Cade Alger I would be hitting up P90X and the weight room. He may be the post player, that we're looking for. Agreed. He has legit post skills and length.

Well there was a SG that Fisher wanted but he went off to Santa Clara and bounced back after 1 year.

Let's see, wasn't Abukar a bounce back to Steve Fisher?

Angelo Chol is the most recent I can remember that we recruited hard then ultimately can here via transfer.

Angelo Chol is the most recent I can remember that we recruited hard then ultimately can here via transfer. Matt Bradley was recruited by SDSU before CAL he bounced back as did X Thames, JJ, Chol but missed on Allen, Ellis & Baker this year. We tried we tried to bring Ellis back twice Duke to Memphis, the Memphis to USC. And Baker CAL to Kentucky, then when he left Kentucky for AZ, then when he left AZ for Fresno State. Once Bradley got his offer from Cal he committed in June 2017. n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2018/matt-bradley-181789#school-interests

Was Malcolm Thomas also a transfer - although he may have made a stop at a JC so he did not have to sit a year
